what is the deal with james wright.

In CLM's post game interview, he says wright was nicked up, as well as C Loston.

So we put in Sheperd and Ronald Martin.

I believe the correct post here is:

We staaaaacccccked, or something like that.

Well, they used Shep correctly last night imho. He is a great wrinkle in the back field and a package we should see 3/4 times a game. His circus catch last night was tremendous.

He's inconsistent

Spectacular catch, then and easy pass and he drops it

Hope he improves because Mett likes throwing to him

retarded. Harvin is a top flight NFL player while Shep won't make the NFL IMO. I love Shep but the Percy shite needs to stop.

He caught a couple of balls but like always he dropped a couple sure catches.

He's not worth wasting passes by throwing the ball to him.

I feel as if the coaches let shep start bc we were playing Idaho and knew it was a cake game. I'm glad he did well, but we have better receivers that will be in the game when it matters. Just my opinion.

Well, given the lack of reps at the receiver position, it doesn't surprise me that he drops passes. But he got better. Keep throwing the ball his way and I suspect good things will happen.

that pass he caught from met in the first quarter should have been 6. didn't keep track of the sideline to well.

He played well last night, had almost 100 total yards.

He even lined up at RB and had a great play.

He isn't a true WR, and has averaged over 6 ypc running the ball in his career. He can be used effectively.

Let's see what he does against good SEC defenses. This was against Idaho. I had high expectations for Shep coming out of high school. But, I haven't seen him grow as a receiver like he should have. He has athletic ability. The consistency just isn't there. Too many drops that average major college receivers would have made.

are we talking about the same player? Shep rarely makes plays in space. Not since his freshman year it seems. The dude goes down on 1st contact almost every time.

I don't think shep has the hands to be the punt returner for lsu.
I think he would make a great kick off returner.

Shep will fall back behind Wright. Mett likes Wright.

he snagged a pretty tough ball last night. I hope last night got the monkey off his back and he'll be more consistent going forward because we'll definitely need him.

Nobody gave up on Shep. He just needs to be consistent catching the football. I can't think of another player except JJ who has been given more chances to prove himself at LSU. Shep hasn't produced to his potential.

fail. a successful wr catches the balls thrown his way. coaches don't like it when a ball hits the wr's hands and he doesn't make the catch.

How can anyone say Shep should have scored on the first play. He weaved out of bounds and then was tackled when he came back in. If he hadn't gone out he still got tackled. Hard to score when you got tackled!!!!
