Trying to, but I'm flashing back to Curley's final year. This is not any fun.

We really need to understand why JOE ALLEVA was hired as AD. The story begins there.

He is a football illiterate. No reasonable doubt about that.

O being lousy at player development has been beat to death. O is gone. Start looking for the new era of greatness.

Not really. It cannot be overstated how terrible Ed has been for the program.

Mason Smith, Stingley, Ricks, Boutte have all proven they have talent.
Ryan hadn’t played enough for us to know.
Emory is “ok” but hadn’t shoemaker that he is extraordinary.
Gilbert and Brooks both have problems that prevent them from stepping up.

It’s quite an incredible run of bad luck with injuries, but I’m sure this will be blamed on O.

Many of these are elective. They wouldn’t be season ending injuries if we were competitive

poor O. He has the worst luck ever. Mean fans and the biggest meanie Woodward firing him. It’s not Os fault he has the worst coordinators in division one football. It’s not his fault he fricked a student trainer in a hot tub. It’s not Os fault he wanted to change to a 4-3 with 3-4 personnel. It’s not Os fault auburn won for the first time in 20 years in tiger stadium. It’s not Os fault the team was completely unprepared vs Ucla,Kentucky, ole miss It’s not Os fault there’s a toxic culture where nobody wants to play for him. It’s not Os fault he said blitzing only causes a touchdown or a sack so LSU doesn’t do it. I could go on with all the bull shite O couldn’t control but it just magically happened bc of bad luck Poor coach O. Nothing is his fault.
O gets plenty blame. You know who this board never blames? The players themselves. It’s always someone else fault.

It is 100% the culture. LSU needs to tear down all the bull shite that doesnt revolve around commitment to the school the program and winning. Period. Nothing else.

This. Next coach needs to be laser focused like saban/belechik mindset to clean up all the peripheral crap.

2 of them transferred so that drops the number to 6. 3 of them have had surgery, 1 had some weird academic issue which has nothing to do with "quitting on the team", and the other 2 will be back this season.

What exactly is pathetic about this? Should players not have surgery? Are we supposed to force players to stay at LSU?
