Shaq said if ben Simmons was in his locker room he would knock his arse out LOL. His own coach even said he didn’t know if Simmons was a championship caliber player. I’m dead!!! Simmons is so overrated!!!

Simmons is a complete embarrassment.

Why did anyone decide to pay this guy nearly $30 million a year?

I guess it took Shaq ripping into him, in order to validate what myself and others said when he was still here.

"But the stats!"

Empty numbers. The games were all about getting his numbers, he turned the ball over a gazillion times, and couldn't make his free throws nearly well enough for the amount of times he forced himself to the rim and got bailed out with fouls.

Shaq isn't saying anything that's particularly enlightening to me, but at least he's making all of the Simmons defenders eat crow, since they won't question anything coming from him.

I argued with posters before.....but Ben S played with no heart.
He put 1 pinkie on LSU campus....the rest of him was a cancer to the rest of the team.
I guess the same in Philly. Tall and great skills.....but no heart.

The topic Ben Simmons is trending on Twitter. It is not looking good for him right now. He is officially at rock bottom in his bball career. Let’s see how he bounces back from this.

1. Simmons needs to shoot a zillion shots a day in practice which i am sure he has been doing to an extent. 2. He has to learn to put the ball up in games without thinking about it or worrying about it going in. He needs confidence in putting the ball up. 3. He honestly might not be the best fit in philly, getting traded might be a win win for both him and the org.

Definitely not a better fit with the pelicans. Zion needs to be surrounded by shooters.

It's a psychological obstacle for him at this point. Knoblauchesque.

I think Shaq is right that he needs to be more aggressive with shots. That can be done in an efficient way. Aggression in high-percentage areas, then gradually expand those areas as shooting improves.

He has the ability. He just has to get over the psychological part.

Is he seriously just figuring this out?

Why would the poster lie about it ?

Simmons is about Simmons. America has figured it out. Another entitled athlete with no work athlete

The opposite is true on both points. He's too deferential. And there's no issue with work ethic. His rebounding and D are high level. It's a psychological issue about shooting.

I guarantee that he can't post the quote.

He's better at his profession than you and the guy who started the thread.

Simmons is a good NBA player but what you see of his game in the NBA could be summed up in his 9 short months at LSU. He has the propensity to disappear when the game is in the line and his team needs that “shot” to push them to the win. It’s just who he is.
