you think he might have been a fall guy at Alabama to prevent show clauses from other more important position coaches, Pruitt, Kirby, etc.

You think just perhaps he did not cooperate because of some orders from up high somewhere at the Alabama football ops. Hypothetical, you take this one for the team (meaning me) and I promise I will give you a good recommendation for another job in the future.

Kind of read the tea leaves. The former Coach at LSU, current coach at Alabama has a fall guy to take the sword. He gets the show clause and none of the other major Saban assistants, Kirby, Pruitt, etc get hit, nor does the Boss man himself.

Rumors of Bo and Nick's falling out have been confirmed by people I trust. You Think this NCAA situation might have something to do with it.

Bo's issue with the NCAA was an improper recruiting contact during a dead period, at least that was what bama stated. Tho it would seem a 2 yr show cause would be a bit strong just for that.

I asked SEC Rant. They said it would've been a slap on the wrist but he lied to the investigators (and Saban). So he got a much worse punishment.

Won’t be shocked if the whole department is gutted after the title IX stuff comes to a head in February

A little of both actually. Two big pieces are getting OC and DC in place and then allowing them to hand pick what they want. They are basically getting blank checks from the TAF to get the staff they want outside of a few spots.

Canada fired after 1 year Peleni should be fired after 1 year Ensminger was nothing before Brady and had better success after learning from Brady. He still has no idea how to call a run game. Everything is up the middle. Zero imagination. Lineham is awful Cregg can’t recruit Bush is nothing without Aranda Faulk rotates his backs to much and won’t use the hot hand Robinson was better at coaching than evaluating talent at RB

It's been established that Canada was Alevea's hire and Pelini was hired by Woodward. Neither were Orgeron's choices.

I don't like hearing word on position coaches before word on the DC being retained or let go

Pelini needs to retire, or get comfortable being a mediocre HC at a mediocre, mid-level program.

With what LSU has paid him this year, he should just leave BTR without any sort of good bye or send off.

I would be good with creating the same structure as the E/Brady structure. Keep E as veteran coach and bring in young Passing Game Coordinator that understands the modern spread passing game like the back of his hand.

What are the chances of finding another young upstart like Brady? Probably better odds to find a proven younger OC with a modern passing game pedigree.

I didn't hear much detail. I've only talked to my guy once since before signing day and that was last night. He just told me about some of the changes he expected today or tomorrow at the latest. Lots of changes.

Also, the whole Athletic Department is in for a shake up. The Title IX situation and loss of revenue from COVID restrictions are the engines driving some big changes.

Thanks for making my Monday morning.

Vol, what about O? I was so disappointed with the off the field issues. I’m a mom of young kids who look up to him. But I wouldn’t mind him staying on. He may not be able to with all the investigation stuff?
