I have a hard time believing brooks on the budget part. the TAF knows that not spending means buying O out next year at a even higher cost. its better to spend on staff

The stunning fact still remains: Ed actually thought pelini was better than Aranda. That is scary.

you think no matter what he does he isn't getting bought out? He has to put up at least a 8-4 season.

LSU can't have 5-5 season followed up by some 7-6 season

I just don't believe cock gobbler brooks. He is wrong about plenty and always trying to pick fights with LSU.

it is pointless to make changes to the staff but then hamstring O. The TAF knows without paying for staff you can't expect to win. Plus we all know Bo isn't getting a lump sum of 5 million

What if he was just being positive to appease his boss who actually wanted Pelini?

By the way I was on the Pelini needs one more year wagon.

I thought it was smart and helped Les attract the best assistants.

Well, what happened? Did he refuse to let them coach?

To all you Miles defenders, do you believe "19" would have happened with Miles?
Would Burrow have been a Tiger.
Would he have allowed Brennan, Finley, and Johnson to throw the ball.
Would Chase have won the Fred Biletnikoff Award?

Frankly, LSU doesn't need to have the highest paid offensive and defensive coordinators in CFB. I'm kind of sick of that model. Go find a rising star pay him market rate and let him earn his way up to being the highest paid. There's plenty of hungry coaches that you don't have to break the bank for.

I’m ok with this model from an X’s and O’s standpoint. Recruiting is a different story though, IMO.

Yes - young guys can sometimes connect with players in a way that older coaches can’t. But I feel like effective recruiting takes a lot of trial and error to really learn. The same can be said for learning to evaluate players when they are sophomores or juniors in high school. You need the frame of reference that comes from doing it over and over again. So I do think it is possible to have too many “rising stars” on the staff.
