re: Seriously you are completely delusional if you are disappointed in this season ...

Disappointed? Hell no
Tired of the BS on Offense? Yes

No one should be disappointed with the season. Not yet and not right now.
Everyone should be disappointed with the offense in terms of scheme, creativity, and production.

For what it's worth, I don't know if it's our entire fanbase that are a bunch of entitled, whiny bitches. I think it's mostly just this board.
This season is clearly a top 5 for me. Any fan who can't enjoy it is a miserable piece of shite.

Yes of course the offense is bad - again and O should have hired a true OC but some of you are really embarrassingly ignorant on how football works.
The offense has regressed instead of gotten better. If they can’t get their shot together they will lose to Gay&M

“9 wins”
I don’t think that had anything to do with the talent on the team. It had more to do with the disappointing losses last season and the coaching Circus going on with the head coach his his OC.
To coach O’s credit he has been able to overcome that and produce a very respectable year to this point in time.
LSU has been a very talented team under three different HC’s since 2000 and there is no reason to believe that we don’t have the talent to play with any team in college football in Tiger Stadium other than apparently Bama.

Orgeron beat the summer expectations for the season, but those expectations were rediculously low. So..yay?
He has not met the expectations for why he was hired and the last guy let go. Those expectations were to improve the offense so we would eventually be in a better position to beat Bama, win the SEC west, win the SEC, get into the playoffs, win a championship, etc etc. So far he is not even shown indications that he might accomplish that first step.
Those of you who are looking at the record and proclaiming "mission accomplished" are severely missing the big picture. We are not any better than we were before hiring Orgeron. Who the hell would think spending millions just too end up back where you started is "good"?

Yes, just as some underrated this team, some of our opponents were seriously OVERRATED.
Miami and Auburn were definitely not top ten teams, nor was State. Georgia did not play like a top ten team against us and ultimately not be that good, either.
On the whole, this schedule was not nearly as tough as advertised, so comparing performance against the lowest pre season prognostications is misleading.
We will have a very tough time beating A&M.

Uh, why would you rank this one above 86, 87, 96, 01, 05, 06, 2010, or 2012?? Or even 95 or 2000 for that matter.
Just out of curiosity

No! It sucks donkey balls. But it's the reality Alleva has provided us with his extensive coaching "search". There is no rational reason, imo, for championship aspirations. Not with the obvious coaching inequities in our own division, and not with an AD who seems far more concerned with revenue than winning.
So I have realistic expectations, and this year's results have exceeded them, by alot really. And the offense? Again, I don't understand the expectation of alot of people here. By what measure can you look at the personnel, the staff, and history, and expect anything beyond what what we have gotten?
"But Eaux campaigned on an improved offense?!?!" These are the gullible fools I mentioned earlier.

Delusion is a favorite of the "lsu didn't hire my dream coach so I'm gonna pout bitch & moan & hope we lose enough to get O fired,"
crowd.
That and self-loathing.

Wait.... you mean LAST YEAR???? Why again did we fire that OC... who was never even allowed to fully put in his system???
I am familiar with Hue Jackson, a man who gets offensive results but has such a repulsive personality that he can never survive in one place for more than a year or two.
I don't blame Orgeron for ditching Canada, as Canada has apparently had issues with other coaches.
I blame Orgeron for ditching Canada and then re-implementing the Les Miles offense via Ensminger.

I think this might be a semantic disagreement, but I tend to think of predictions and expectations differently.
I predicted a 9-3 season with losses to AU, UGA and BAMA. That prediction was based on my assessment of talent and coaching and schedule.
My expectations for the program overall, however, are much higher and are based on what I know the program is capable of AND what our AD told us all they were by firing the guy who was averaging 10 wins a year for his career here.
So...for me, we have thus far exceeding my season prediction (thus far) but have not met my expectations for the program...if that makes sense.

It makes complete sense and is completely logical.
Only an intellectually dishonest or incompetent person would take issue with that position

Not disappointed with the season, but still very much so disappointed in how the offensive line, receivers, and return game has performed. Burrow has performed adequately given the issues with the above, but while this team has outperformed a lot of expectations, they have still disappointed in some areas of their game.
NOTE:
I picked them to win 10 this year and was down voted to hell and back for it, so..

I do...because if this was well known and he hired him anyway, this is also on him. You can't hire a known cancer and then tell the fan base, "Well...the guy was a douche." Ok...so don't hire him in the first place and hire another high quality OC.
Or, was Canada like Orgeron in that no other coach was available other than him at the time?
But keep in mind, those who quickly came out to throw Canada under the bus after the Troy loss ran with "And his little scheme sucks, too!" Without bothering to recognize that if his scheme sucked and we hired him, that meant that Orgeron hired a coach with a shitty scheme or he hadn't even bothered to know what he'd run when he got here.
To recap...Orgeron hired a known douche with a shitty scheme and he goes blameless...and we are to now use the fact that because we have a first year OC they can't be judged, etc.
BTW, I'm not claiming this is you, just that I tend to hold him more responsible for us not being in the second year of an OC this season.

Its not
The last coach was fired and he won 10 games in 2010,2011,2012,2013, 2015.
If we win out the season was good but in no way is that our goal. Lsu should be winning titles and we won't win titles with a 1990 offense.
