Nope. It is just that. This current unrest among the fans is only about coach O. I’m pretty sure everyone knows we’ll be back, and probably sooner than later, but acknowledging a shitty situation that’s fixable with better people in charge does not mean that the fans are “broken.”

Are you under the impression that people being upset with LSU not playing well aren't "riding or dying" with the team?

2 years removed from a high profile NC Team. A lot of the people are not "Ride or die."

It’s a bunch of the same bozos that just knew Tom Herman was the new Nick Saban. They couldn’t wait to meet him at the airport and give him a handjob.

actually being critical of the play thus far is more ride or die than saying everything’s great O is the best lol. Meaning people love the program and if the coach is acting like a buffoon and the play isn’t up to par with the talent on the field people will be pissed.

Would you have kept Chizik two years after Auburn’s dream season?

Since the OP admitted to wanting Miles out 2 years from a NC, I guess he isn't really "ride or die" then either.

Also, if "ride or die" means sitting back and watching a poorly coached team lose games they shouldn't, you can count me out.

Our season ended after week 1. How can you be optimistic about that?

There are a lot of fair weather fans right now. There are genuine fans but a lot of vocal bandwagoners too.

Everyone makes this out as a black and white situation. A lot of things this year have pissed me off to no end. But a couple bad seasons isnt going to make me turn on them completely. That is the mentality of many right now. I've seen some very bad LSU teams this is nowhere near the top of that list.

There isn't a line drawn you can be mad and still support the team. Just hope for better days ahead and the right hires are made when it comes to that.

Not a D line coach with a binder full of doodles about gumbo and sticky figures with cartoonishly large titties.

LSU’s dysfunctional system has caused it.

And you left you, "Who is 6-6 with several embarrassing performances since the title game."

It’s been with us since Day1. If you didn’t hate yourself as a fan after the Curley era then you weren’t a true fan.

Add to that “thought hiring Bo Pelini with a huge buy out was a good idea”.

Orgeron had a very good 2018 and followed that up with a great 2019. No one can dispute that. O was on top of things, focused, and he addressed all the issues successfully.

However, it seems that he lost focus and let things slip on and off the field. His plan to hire the best coordinators was not successful. His plan to recruit at an elite level across the board was not successful. His plan to plug holes via transfers was not successful.
This had led to a very bad season and a very bad start to another season.

Fans are wondering if O can right the ship now. Remember, he took over a winning program that had lost steam. It’s not as if he had to rebuild. All he had to do was energize, adjust to the modern game and he did great at that. Now the circumstances are entirely different.

Exactly. I vented my frustration with O and the team the week after the UCLA game, but damn, i am still pulling for the tigers and hoping O can turn things around. Some of these "LSU fans" on here seem like they want O to fail and want LSU to lose. Its really pathetic. They bring up last weeks game vs mcneese like its proof that LSU cant turn things around this season. A game LSU won by 27 points despite missing 22 players, forcing us to play a shitload of inexperienced players and still dominated the game. Lets see what happens the rest of the season and then make a decision if one needs to be made. Im hoping they continue to improve like theyre capable of doing. We have the talent to win and have a damn good season. I wasnt expecting this team to win the sec or anything like that to begin with. Lets see what transpires.

So you want the Rant to be censors, like Facebook and Twitter?

That’s frightening.

You are missing the reality of our fanbase here. We are unmedicated bipolar and the sky is falling at the moment. It’s all the way up or the disaster of the fricking century around here with absolutely no in-between. A new staff and a couple of wins vs nobodies and it will flip again next year.

For anyone ready to pounce, I’m not saying complaining isn’t justified. Just that we go all one direction or the other. See 2015 for the perfect example of this.
