Seeing A&M get Jimbo and Ark interview Leach shows how bad Alleva is. Alleva needs to go

There is something to be said about being all in for what you want. We had a chance for Herman, he wanted around 6 million for 5 years, but Alleva avoiding a bidding war with Texas allowed UT to name their price instead of at least making UT pay more for him. I'll never forget that rushed presser so Alleva could try to "save face." He was a coward. He put his own ego over what was best for LSU.
What did Arkansas do differently when their main target was off the table? They gathered themselves and moved down the list and interviewed Leach today. They don't even have an AD and they're doing better than Joe and Fking.
I hope Orgeron does well, and he righted the sinking ship this season, but boy he will be tested like never before next season. Alleva needs to be out if it doesn't work out.

Aleva has a Boss. How do you not know he was told to do things the way they turned out.
I personally believe his bosses screwed the Jimbo hire the first time. The second time I don't think LSU wanted to spend the money.

Say what you will about Jimbo but what he did this season was miraculous.
Nobody else could have ever done it.
He had a losing record 5-6 overall and 3-5 in his conference.
His biggest win was either a 7-point win over Duke or a 7-point win over Wake Forest.
He lost by 32 points to Boston College just a little over a month ago.
And became the second highest paid coach in college football.
That is fricking AMAZING. Aggies gonna Aggy.

Sure why not, hire a guy that is ranked lower in every poll than your current coach.
Leach was fired from Texas Tech even though he was very successful there.

Jimbo got a ship. What did O have? A sinking ship from Ole Miss. Jimbo got what he deserved.

So you want Alleva to give Jimbo a guaranteed 10 year $75 million dollar contract or to hire a coach who was fired for abusing his former football players? Man son...you need to check yourself into the nearest psycho ward.

Jimbo shite the bed this year and completely checked out but his track record shows he can put up solid teams with excellent QB play. Even without winston he was winning 10 games a year. From taking over a stale program, he improved them and won a national title and hauls in top classes every year. he has shown he knows what he is doing
Its a bit absurd to only look at this one year and not look at his overall body of work as a coach his entire career. I don't think he will win a national title at A&M but if he hires a competent Defensive coordinator he could make noise in the SEC. I think his offenses will be fine and he will improve QB play over at A&M.

Agreed, Alleva stole a 10-25 career HC who no one else wanted. That’s some ninja next level shite right there.

Are you really insinuating O is a better coach than Leach?
Leach has taken over trash programs and has them at an incredible level
From strictly a coaching perspective he is one of the best out there

You are under- selling Aleeva here. I have it on very good authority that he shuffles the paper on the left side of his desk to the right side of his desk with the effortless aplomb of a Russian figure skater . Mad skillz, y’all.

With Jameis Winston and Jeremy Pruitt. By far the best QB in the country at the time and arguably the best DC in the country at the time. And probably the weakest ACC in 30 years where they played against a powerhouse Duke team in the ACC championship and Clemson was the only team in the final top 25 aside from FSU. The Jimbo love is out of control from our fans he’s not that good and he’ll be exposed at A&M just like Chavis was

Jimbo is overrated and certainly overpaid. Leach is just certifiable.
Alleva need not be blamed for anything here.

Are you really saying there are no other coaches out there who were qualified besides Jimbo and herman? and apparently O...
This decision was pretty rushed and we literally did not have a competent search process.

I'm not that impressed with Jimbo. He gave up 63 points to Louisville last year, while Orgeron beat them 29=9.

quote:any knee jerk reactionary person might. You don't understand the real world at all. Leach has a much higher ceiling, and I like Leach. His teams are entertaining. However, Leach is a loose cannon, wildcard coach. He's a better fit for Arky than LSU, but I'm confident Leach will not be nearly as stable as O, and Leach will somehow be entangled in some controversy before long.

That remains to be seen but yeah, Chavis was.
