It takes a lot more for Les to boot a good player

What a poorly written article.

Miles has a history of being soft when it comes to punishing his players.

He kicked Tyrann Mathieu out of the program, as well as Ryan Perriloux and left him with essentially ZERO QB's in 2008.

But yes...he didn't kick Jeremy Hill off the team for a fight at a bar...

Did he or did he not kick him off of the team? I'm not sure what distinction you're trying to make here.

I'm sure he suggesting compliance or someone did...as if Les had no choice or something.

Still hasn't learned? He kicked the best player (honeybadger) off a team with National championship aspirations. Les has his faults but this isn't one of them.

That's a terrible article - someone with a bone to pick. Assault like that is never excusable but to throw a troubled kid to the curb without even trying to fix the issue. That's even worse. Les won't give him another chance.

I would argue domestic battery is worse disciplining someone for domestic battery. I get what you're saying though.

Mathieu was on the 10 strikes you're out program.

Mathieu admits he failed at least 10 drug tests

quote:

I quit counting at 10. I really don't know," Miles told the NFL coach, according to USA Today.

Yet Mathieu was suspended once for a drug-related offense and then dismissed last year. There were no other suspensions during that time, especially during the height of his epic run to the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

"If he flunked 10 tests before they suspended him, it shows that he got no kind of help," the coach told USA Today on the condition of anonymity.

There’s really no excuse for this. Mathieu needed help and LSU should have cared more about the player than his game. Why did it take so long for LSU to finally do something?

BS story. Miles can and will run his team as he see fit. Williams seem to have learned his lesson.
