Since it is the bye week and all.....

If LSU beats Bama and both win out from there, while Ole Miss Wins out: Who goes to the SEC Championship from the west?

No one knows. It goes by East opponents win records so it depends on what they all do. For us that’s Mizzou and Florida. For Ole Miss that’s GA and Vandy. For Bama that’s TN and KY.

Vandy won’t win a conference game, our east record SHOULD be the best. But we shall see

Yep, it would come down to East opponents' records in that case. But the Black Bears still have to actually play UGA, so we'll see.

They just need to lose once. They already have a loss to Bama

Yea, I understand that.
But that doesn’t change the fact that I STILL THINK THEY LOSE 2 MORE

Not sure why such a simple statement is so hard to understand

It's not, it is simply that you stated it in a thread about what it will take for LSU to win the West. So I thought I would clarify for anyone uncertain that only one loss by Ole Miss puts LSU ahead of them.

Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.

Hypothetically OM would be screwed since their East opponent is Vandy that will be 0-8. It’d be another co-west champ banner from them which would be glorious

It’d be between UK-UT record for Bama and Mizzou-UF record in conference games. Someone can do those teams projected records to figure it out but won’t know til season ends.

Eta Could come down to the result of the UT-Mizzou game. In this bizarre scenario where LSU/Bama/OM all finish 7-1 we would need Mizzou to win that one.

We would want Florida to beat Arkansas too. UF and UK both prob finish 4-4 let’s say so UT-Mizzou game the most likely game that would determine the tiebreaker

It’s been discussed a few times but the gist is this: if there’s a 3-way tie, Ole Miss is fricked.

The problem for Bama is that they would have to win the 3-way tiebreaker outright in that scenario. Otherwise it reverts back to a 2-way tie once OM is eliminated, and in this hypothetical LSU would have head-to-head over Bama. So Bama would need their SECe opponents to have a better record than LSU’s so that LSU and OM both get eliminated in the same tiebreaker.

I bring this up because even a UT win over Mizzou might not be enough for Alabama. They would need another upset like Tennessee beating UGA or UF/Mizzou losing to Arky.

It’s probably not worth thinking too hard about right now though. We still have to beat Bama, UF, and aTm which is hard enough. The scenario that would really suck is if OM somehow runs the table, LSU beats Bama, then Bama shits the bed in the Iron Bowl or something.

That would really ruin things a bit. Don’t want in laws thinking Ole Miss is “back”.

Honestly if OM beats UGA and wins out they deserve to go IMO. I dont think that happens, but I honestly dont think we will win out either so it's not really worth worrying about too much at this point.

If LSU wins out and OM loses one to GA or TaM, then LSU is in the SECC. This is the way I see it happening. LSU can beat Bama. They are not as strong as last years team. LSU's offense is unstoppable.

Not Ole Miss thanks to Vandy.

Would be between LSU and Alabama. Right now LSU holds a slight edge
