we will see how it effects Bradshaw when he gets the mound
I still think that with the lead and also the fact that any pitcher that goes in after the delay will have to warm up a bit....might as well send Byrd or Alsup out there and see what they can do. If they start poorly...have Bradshaw ready and bring him in. But if you can somehow save Bradshaw for the second game...and then have Matulus for Sunday....if they somehow win both games....well...just blabbering i guess.

I was being sarcastic. The rain is definitely a disadvantage but we are tearing the cover off of the ball right now.

and I keep seeing people saying the UGA coach could/should protest. I'm not sure how that got started, but if you're saying this, you're probably watching your first baseball game. They would laugh at him for protesting on the basis of rain.

From Wikipedia
quote:
If a game is rained out before play begins, it is rescheduled for a later date. If has already begun and rain falls, several scenarios are used to determine the need to resume play:
If the game has completed the top half of the 5th inning and the home team is ahead, the game can be deemed an official game. The home team is declared the winner, and the game officially counts in standings.
If the game has completed the bottom half of the 5th inning and either team is ahead, the game can be deemed an official game. The the leading team is declared the winner, and the game officially counts in standings.
If the game has completed the 5th inning, and the
teams are tied, the game is considered suspended, and the resumption of the game is scheduled for a future date (usually the following day). The game picks up from where it left off.
If neither of the previous three scenaros apply, the game can not be deemed official. The umpire declares "No Game," and a make-up of the game is scheduled for a future date. The statistics compiled during the rained out game are not counted.

quote:and how am I an opposition fan? do you see a G next to my name?
seriously though, I was making reference to opposition fans in general
Ive made it clear I respect admire and appreciate the LSU program,, you cant find any proof other wise,,
now some retard tiger fans,, who give the rest of the fans a bad name ,,that a different story
I simply asked a question regarding IF a coach could file a protest,,its a legit question, one even a LSU fan might ask in this situation
maybe you RIDE lsu fans could learn a little something about hospitality
and BY and LARGE most on here know me and don't have an issue that I happen to root for RICE

I dont think this is the SEC rule especially in the tournament.

I'm pretty sure the SEC is not going to restart. They don't do that during the regular season.

I'm curious to know the rule on restarts. In the majors they restart if they continue the next day huh?
then why couldnt we restart last year against UNC in the CWS?? I believe we had to start the next game with bases loaded and 1 out??
