They were a Top 5 team preseason.
I think injuries have hit them hard throughout the year. Like you've seen with Schrock. I think it's been an injury for awhile.
I also think their Friday guy Crowe(?) has been out for the season.
Still don't know what happened this season though. Also doesn't help having Florida, Vanderbilt, LSU, and Texas A&M on your schedule.

I dont think he's getting a pass at all. He probably gets one more year but he's quickly pushing himself out the door.

I agree. Especially with Tanner as the Athletic Director. You know he has to hate that post season streak ending.

I was listening to the D1baseball podcast yesterday, they talked about how Houston won the American despite their injuries. I think that is a sign how good their coach is compared to South Carolina who had key injuries but end up missing the post season.

Though the SEC is a tougher conference and it's harder to lose guys like that.
Texas A&M lost their Friday night guy, then lost their next Friday night guy.. And they had a pretty successful season.

I would think Bama needs the auto bid. They may have been playing fairly well the last couple weeks, but only have 12 SEC wins.
ETA: Their only SEC series wins are against MSU, Georgia, and a sweep of Auburn.
