is Shaw's choice to referee the Bama game.

Just a coincidence, I'm sure.

SEC HQ (in Birmingham, no less): 205 458-3000

Listening to Finebaum, he was asked who was officiating the game, and he claimed he didn't know, but he was sure it would be a fine crew.

He was on the field during the PP7 INT, the replay booth is where we got screwed.

I understand the concern considering the interception non-call from 09, but we got to let this shite go. Every time we bitch about the refs, a bama fan gets a new tooth.

Realistically, there is little chance for a similar monumental screw-job considering the national attention this game will get.

Yeah, the jagoffs in the replay booth were the real criminals. Any human being with a pair of working eyeballs could plainly see BOTH of PP7's feet were in. And they're gonna say BOTH were out of bounds? I mean, both divots he created were in the green, how much more damn proof else did they need? There are the divots. He very clearly had possession the moment the ball touched his hands. The fix was in.

Barring a blowout by LSU, Bama was going to go to the NCG come hell or high water. So many calls like that one in that game. The fix was in.

All we can do is let everyone at SEC HQ over in Birmingham that they better not pull that BS again.

therer will be some timely holding and PI calls. those are the easiest calls to keep Bama in the game when it starts gettinga way from them.

Didn't Arkansas complain so much about the hose job they got at Florida one year (2009 maybe), that they got that particular crew barred from officiating any of their games?

I really do want to believe that. I keep telling myself that the SEC would have no reason to try to screw us since both teams are undefeated. However, when somebody brings up the incredible disparity in the number of penalties between LSU and Bama the past 2 times we've played in Tuscaloser (22 for LSU and only 6 for Bama), it's tough not to wonder if there isn't something funny going on.

Yeah, if the last two meetings are any indication whatsoever, you can count on a big gain or two or three by LSU to get called back. Book it.

Tom Ritter had exactly zero to do with that PP call. It ain't the NFL where the head ref does the replay, the booth official watches the replay and tells the head ref what the call is.

Yep. I remember in 2007 when LSU was up 17-3 and starting to pull away, a questionable pass interference call opened the floodgates for a slew of penalties that stalled the offense until Bama got back in it.

He could've looked at the divots, maybe?

Also, he made a bevy of well documented very questionable calls that went Bama's way over the course of the game, whereas LSU got virtually none.

So I'm not sure what your point is.
