Lol he didn’t meddle all year. The Canada debacle wasn’t all on O. He never was the right fit which is the first thing the HC mentioned could be a factor. More proof that continuity is crucial. Canada wasn’t that good in year 1 and imo his offense wasn’t a great fit n the Sec. too much talent across the Sec on Dline and OlBer.

People were under the illusion that Canada was a gunslinger when he wasn't.

His offenses were more run oriented.

All his stuff worked better in the ACC.

Man, LSU players are going to absolutely love playing for Matt Canada !!!Posted on 8/22/17 at 8:19 am

Matt Canada's offense scored 3 rushing TD's and 3 passing TD's and scored 42 pointsPosted on 8/18/17 at 3:50 pm

Also, just because we're on a tangent about how you're a hypocrite:

LSU will have very good depth on the D-Line for the first time in a whilePosted on 8/12/17 at 8:58 am

The rest of the comment said "since they won it all". Since 2007 that one year with Mett is the only season we've had great QB play. Though Lee was fantastic in 2011 before he was benched.

Russell and Flynn were Saban guys. Mett was originally at Georgia. Miles never recruited one QB out of high school that was fantastic.

No it isn't. Maryland will be his 4th school in the past 4 seasons.

You should learn what the word "lie" means.

Regardless of "fault", the bottom line was that the Canada hire was a panic hire after Kiffin fell through.

On most objective criteria O wasn't "qualified" to get the LSU job. He got it by selling a plan to Alleva. Part of that plan was to hire "the best OC" (which was Kiffin) and get out of the way. When that didn't happen he couldn't deviate from his plan with his first hire. He HAD to hire "the very best OC", and it didn't matter if he had no prior experience with the guy. O had to check a box on his plan. Otherwise he would look like a complete fraud.

Canada allegedly being a horse's arse allowed O the justification to hire "his guy". That's been done. So it's not hyperbole to say that Ogeron's job rests almost completely on Ensminger (assuming Aranda continue to perform at his high level)

Or Alleva sold that plan to us?

Either way it doesn't matter now.

So, we’re looking at 2020 before O can begin to be judged on how he handles the QB position?

I honestly thought you were saying O, not "our O".

As for our O (offense), it's gonna be "multiple". History says it'll suffer against tough defenses, but here's hoping we do better against good defense than in 2016 with Ensminger.

Saban would never in a million years give somebody an "anonymous" quote. What he says will be on record. Period. This is goofy.

This is some practice uniform washer from ms state.

CEO has to go at least 9-3 to be able to stay for another year. Like it or not his resume and recruiting have made it this way--its win now or time to make a change.

We need to support CEO for this year---unless the wheels fall off. He has had time to fix the offense enough with this defense that we should go at least 9-3. No more excuses, no more mulligans.

I will back these tigers this whole year. Hopefully, CEO gets it done because 19 recruiting class will depend on how we do on the field this year. We better be prepared to pass the ball or this is going to be a long year. IT WILL ALL COME DOWN TO QB/WR PLAY HE BETTER GET IT RIGHT.

And if its 9-3 he BETTER win the BOWL game--its time.

O didn't want him, so that support system for him never developed and Canada probably sensed that early on. It's still ultimately O's fault because he didn't have the integrity to admit what he felt.

Now you know that they don't want to hear that kind of logic and reasoning. Yet those are the same guys that questions his hire. And claim that he was hired because of being a friend. Ensminger has put skins on the wall, gentleman.
