Who would go to the SEC Championship game assuming this happens:
1) LSU beats Bama
2) LSU loses to Hogs on last regular season game

and there is a 3-way tie. Who would go to Atlanta?

In 2007, TN, FL, and UGA had this situation happen with equal conf records. TN went as highest BCS ranked team.

Unrelated but judging from the remainder of Arkansas's schedule--they don't lose between now and the LSU Game.

False, in 2007 Florida lost three games to SEC teams (Auburn, LSU, Georgia), while Tennessee and Georgia both lost two games. Tennessee had the head-to-head victory, giving them the SEC East.

I say LSU.

If LSU beats Bama, Bama won't fall behind Ark in the polls because Bama beat Ark.
If Ark beats LSU, LSU won't fall behind Bama, who should still be ahead of Ark.
That's the way it should work, but it hardly ever does

If LSU beats Bama....LSU will be going 14-0....no tiebreakers or BCS shuffle to be concerned about.

We sure do tend to disregard Ark; strange since they tend to beat us.

They dont beat us when we are this good....see 2003. 2007 defense became very porous due to scheme changes by Pellini.

It's the highest ranked BCS team unless one of the teams beat you head to head and they are within 5 BCS spots of you.

This is way too close to call. It is BCS ranking I believe and all 3 would be extremely close. They each beat each other and they all play very equivalent schedules with tough OOC opponents.

LSU could have a small edge in the computers if Oregon and WVU continue to win. But it would probably come down to the human polls - which would basically had the most impressive win (read MOV) when the 3 played their round robin.

I would put money down that if we are undefeated going into the Arky game, we will NOT overlook them like in the past. At that point the team will know they have too much to lose if they aren't ready.

best BCS 'value' unless another team is within 5 BCS slots and won the head to head.

its unlikely that all three are 11-1 and Arky jumps up to within 5 slots. maybe. They will need some style points the next few weeks and thump some LSU.

I think this thread assumes all 3 teams are 11-1 while being 1-1 with each other. In this case, all 3 teams will easily be within 5 BCS slots of eachother

No sense in wasting time with BCS nuances and possibilities:

LSU is #1 and will be from this day to the last day on Jan 9th.

top ranked bcs team, if the next team is lower than 5 spots. If they are within 5 spots, then it goes to head to head. In your scenario, Bama would go since they beat Arkansas head to head. This is assuming that ARkansas runs the table. If not, then it would be lsu since bama and lsu would be within 5 spots of each other in the bcs and lsu won the head to head matchup and arkansas would not be within 5 spots.

Huh? This is the scenario...

LSU 11-1 (Beat Bama, lost to Arky)
Bama 11-1 (Beat Arky, Lost to LSU)
Arky 11-1 (Beat LSU, Lost to Bama).

Those 3 would all likely be within 5 spots of each other and it is impossible to say which would have the highest BCS ranking at this time without additional info
