Coach O leave out the long emery run intentionally? Thought he said he had a 30ish yard run. Maybe just downplaying it?

It's going to be so fun seeing Emery breakout vs Texas

Ask Georgia how "ho-hum" of a RB Clyde is.

Clyde had one of the worst yards per carry average of any RB with at least 100 carries last year. One of the guys who was worse at that than him and was the WORST starting RB in yards per carry last year was Brossette. I'm not like you, I don't want to go back to the pre Jeremy Hill days.

I feel the same way. There comes a point in every game where you need to be able to pound the ball on the ground. We should definitely keep it in our short yardage package.

Even the Saints carry a fullback and he’s a valuable part of the run game.

Ask 2010 Oregon about not being able to pound tbe rock.

Agreed. Haven’t heard of any significant injuries at least.

This was the last full go scrimmage.

CEH will get carries. Not explosive enough to be returning kicks though.

O said recently he won’t recruit anymore fullbacks
You can take a walk on and make him a fullback

This is what I was getting at. Maybe I didn't word it the best way. Today Burrow was 14/24. 58%. Last year his completion percentage was 57%.

Just wanted to know what he thinks will help get Burrow up to around 65-68%.

This is what I'm talking about. The percentages seem to stick around that 56-57%. I'd love to see and hope we do during the season see it be around that 65-68%.

Same here. Which was why I was wondering what needs to happen for Burrow/the whole offense to take that next step.

Things are suppose to be different, but so far it sounds like more of the same. Protection issues, WR drops, etc.

Definitely. I think it’s smart if O is leaving details out.

Ipod, I’m not trying to get in a pissing match, but which of these backs do you think was not better than Helaire?
Leonard Fournette?
Guice?
Jeremy Hill?
Spenser Ware?
Alfred Blue?
Jacob Hester?

Lastly, do you think Clyde is as good as the top two backs Bama will trot out this year? Georgia?

There's going to be a market correction eventually.

No offense is permanent. Once the entire football world catches on to the spread/RPO, someone will stick a fullback in the backfield and wreck shop. It's not a matter of if, but when.

People with the foresight to be ahead of the trends are the real geniuses in CFB.

When the Saints offense is clicking, it's because they are passing & RUNNING the ball extremely well. Everyone seems to believe they are a spread passing team, but Sean Payton will go I formation/jumbo package when he wants to establish the power run game.

That offense is fun to watch because of the versatility, multiple personnel groupings & variety of formations. Anyone who pays close enough attention will tell you that many of the Saints biggest runs over the years come the single back I formation with traps or dives right up the gut of the opposing defense.

Not just a walkon but more of a bruiser like Kenny Hilliard at the start of his freshman year. Charles white’s Heisman year , Robinson used a freshman in that position named Marcus Allen. Didn’t hurt his career.

Zach Line was a strong RB at SMU. OVER 4,000 Yards Rushing in his career & 47 TD's. He could easily carry the ball 10 times per game to give Kamara/Murray a breather.
