Assuming Alleva is gone in the near future, is Woodward becoming our next AD actually a possibility or is he sitting comfy in T-Stat? It’s safe to say that he is our #1 candidate and rightfully so.

That's what my sources say.

TAMU will pay whatever it takes to keep him. Which is far more than what LSU can offer.

Plus, does he want to work for F King Alexander?

We can't win a bidding war with A&M and I have to imagine that a new BOS will be wanting to keep salaries down of the department's leadership.

Depends, come to PAY get undermines by F. King and corrupt politician, or stay at A&M and have free reign to run his AD as he sees fit. Hmmmm tough choice

If the powers that be over there have any basic business savvy, they will pay whatever it takes to keep him within the confines of his worth and their need to retain him. It’s not about winning a bidding war, it’s winning the value/demand war.

Now F. King, that could be our un-doing.

He makes $900,000 at TAM. I believe LSU would pay more and possibly make him the highest paid AD if it means getting him. We can’t be cheap. Look what an incompetent AD has gotten us.

Just saying with some people very high in power talking about not wanting to pay "obscene" salaries I doubt we make a run for Scott, I would love for him to LSU's AD, but I just don't see it happening with the state's current political leadership.

I would be very surprised if he came here. But I do not know him.

I bet he'll make more than that if Joe gets canned.

He isn’t interested in dealing with the politics at LSU. If he had the ability to make the calls he felt were needed or i guess enough money could change his mind.

His parents live here and he loves to fish in Louisiana.

I know him. Yes, Scott and his wife have roots here. They have family and good friends here. Sure they would prefer BR to College Station, but that kind of $ allows them to travel here and elsewhere whenever they want.

Bid yourself out this conversation. Don't you see that adults are talking?

exactly what makes Woodward such a great choice? he's one of us, right?

all he has done in his short, very short tenure as an AD is give a coach a 75 million dollar guaranteed contract. how in hell is that viewed as a sign that he's so great? he may end up being very good but he certainly isn't proven. being an AD is a lot more than hiring one coach and giving the farm up to get him at that.

I seriously doubt LSU backers (the one's paying the bucks) would give the man the OK to sign that deal; which is irresponsible, imo.

Isn't Gov. Edwards a big LSU fan?
