No other school has this kind of a blanket arrangement.
The ancient Greeks were somehow able to teach in the great outdoors under the trees. It is not buildings that make a University great but the quality of the teachers and researchers it is able to attract, which of course has a lot to do with the salaries paid.
And don't believe for an instance that this will force F. King into running a meaner, leaner budget in which he will cut out all waste. That would require firing way too many bueracrat administrators. No, what it means is that tuition will continue to rise until only the rich and those willing to put the rest of their life under debt, can come here.

Scott did not say he would help fund the rest of the university if he felt like it. He said they would no longer allow for the university to include AD funding in their budget. They must submit requests for projects needing funding.

Jesus......... when non-athlete students start generating $150 million per year in revenue showcasing their liberal arts and history degrees then the academics can have legit beef. It’s not that hard to understand.

This can’t be said enough. When you idiots going to LSU on the lowered academic standards required for TOPS that are graduating with your GS and Comm degrees start pulling in what athletics does, then we can talk. Until then, STFU.
