Scott, tell Blake he’s next in line for HC

If we have to move on from Kelly in the next 1-2 seasons, he will get his chance at interim. We can’t afford to lose baker to some cheesedick school like Tulame. This isn’t shade towards Kelly either. If you believe in BK you have to secure his only good coordinator or he’ll have zero chance.

We don’t like LSU hiring guys like Sloan because LSU isn’t a place to cut your teeth as a coordinator but we wanna hire a first time head coach?

Worked for Oregon. If LSU was to field an elite top-5 defense in the next couple years and Baker shows other traits of a future elite head coach, it’s not unprecedented.

With Baker, I don't think we've seen enough to merit this though.

Totally unnecessary. Besides, Kelly could be there another 10 years. Or even if he was fired tomorrow, do you really think Blake Baker is the best man for the job? He’s been a good DC in one year with us but don’t make false promises to the man.

Defense is still very weak. Improved but not close to Top 10.
