In this article he wrote for the advocate, he had this little gem:

quote:

Both schools consider “Tiger Rag” their fight song, though Clemson’s is played a little faster with a high tempo segment near the end as compared to the LSU version, whose drawn out first four notes always signal the start of every home game.

Excellent research there on your home town team Scott

Maybe 1 out of 5 LSU fans you pull out of a tailgate would know the name of LSU's fight song

It's Fight for LSU but most will probably think it's Tiger Rag, Hey Fightin' Tigers, or Pregame

He could have levered years of training to mix a period into that run-on sentence. I don’t think he should lose his $40K/year job over it.

I read it and im not sure what your issue is. Its a fun article to give some knowledge about Clemson. Maybe you should chill out a bit.

The first four notes of pregame are stolen from Tiger Rag. LSU’s band does play Tiger Rag though. And correct, neither are the fight song.

I can definitely see getting confused from it though, since Tiger Band plays the "Presto" part of Tiger Rag after touchdowns

The version of Tiger Rag we play after touchdowns is way faster than Clemson's. And it's obviously not our fight song.

For as long as Rabalais has covered LSU, I'm hoping he was just trying to fill out his column.
