Ensminger isn’t familiar with it? Still?

Being familiar with it and adapting in game and being innovative are 2 very different things.
E might have the former but certainly has shown he doesn’t have the latter. Neither does Linehan.

1 year v. almost 40 coaching otherwise
same with Linehan
we have 2 guys who have decades of experience in offenses completely opposed to what we ran last year (And allegedly want to run moving forward)
can it work? sure anything is possible
it's just hard to understand how we're committed to the spread and modern offense when we make moves like this and tons of options are out there who actually have history with...the spread

Yep
When the majority of the positive press around town is “Trust in Orgeron” rather than “Home Run hire”, that’s tells the story
It could definitely work out, but it’s a lackluster hire on the surface
Oh well. Nothing we can do but hope it works out

Dallas has been horrible because of their offense. Stagnant, behind in the times, no imagination offense. So we hire the guy that ran that offense. I DGAF about ohhh, in O we trust, blah blah blah. Look, he hired Canada, his only bad hire. He isn't going to be spot on all the time. o just bought a shite sandwich. You can trust in O that the shite sandwich is gonna smell like gumbo and taste like boiled crawfish all you want but mofos, a shite sandwich is a shite sandwich no matter how much sunshine and rainbow Unicorn farts you try to pump

Some of our fans are just fricking retarded. I swear that they're not content with anything, ever. Orgeron just won a national title with a team and coaching staff that HE BUILT. Yet, some of our idiot fans still don't have confidence in him and trust his abilities to build this program. They STILL don't believe in him. At this point, there's just nothing that he can do to convince that segment of our fanbase and I don't believe he ever will, no matter what he has accomplished or will accomplish. I trust in coach O 100%, bc he has done nothing but make solid moves in regards to our staff and player personnel. Let the man do what he does ffs. Do y'all realize what he just accomplished here at LSU since he was named interim coach and head coach? He has done nothing but improve our program year by year and culminated it by assembling one of the greatest football teams/coaching staffs of all time, not just in LSUs history, but in the history of cfb as a whole. He can and will do it again. Bookmark that shite and take it to the bank. The man simply knows how to build a damn football program. He has an inate ability to spot/recognize talent, both in players and in coaches...thats what makes him so successful. He has set records that will probably never be broken and intrenched this LSU program as a force to be reckoned with from here on out in his time here. Coach O and this LSU program aren't "1 hit wonders". He steadily built it up to what we have now become. We aren't going anywhere fellas. We are going to be competing for championships as long as orgeron is here and I have no doubt about it that we are just starting to witness the golden era of LSU football. He has made a reality of what we all knew this program could be and should have been all along. The giant has awoken and he's not going to sleep anytime soon. Our potential as a powerhouse has been solidified and proven now. This is our time, and there's absolutely no turning back. Trust in the man and let him continue to build this juggernaut with whomever he sees fit to best help us achieve our goals. We still comin'. Geaux Fightin' Tigers.

Linehan isn’t walking through the door with anything innovative.
And he isn't required to, that's the beauty of it.

Ok. Do you think this is a good hire? Do you trust that coach O made the correct hire to fit what he knows is best for our program at this time? Do you trust in his abilities to recognize coaching talent yet? He has done nothing for me not to trust him is all I was saying and there seems to be a portion of our fanbase that still questions him and disagrees with every hire that he has made thus far in the offseason. It's just flat out ridiculous how some of our fans are. That's all i was saying.

To be fair every offense looked the exact same under different coordinators even with Cam.
I agree with this statement, and that should indicate that the HC was the problem - should be much improved now.

The last time the rant melted this hard over a hire we hired Ed Orgeron.

A Defensive Coordinator that's last success was in 2007
A PGC who's last success was 2005
Yay...

A loser attitude if I’ve ever seen one.
fans should never be “content”. They should never blindly trust coaches whether they have 20 championships or one.
This is an uninspired awful hire. There’s no other way to look at it.
It makes absolutely no sense at all.
