Homer Drew was an LSU assistant coach from 1972-1976

Maybe Dale Brown can do one good thing for the program before he kicks it and gets his old assistant Homer to get his son Scott to LSU.

Scott Drew rebuilt Baylor from the ashes after Baylor basketball was smashed by the NCAA. Take on a new challenge and rebuild LSU.

It took 7 seasons for Baylor to make an elite 8 in 2011 after Scott Drew was hired but I’m sure Scott knows how to speed up that timeline now.

Hopefully Woodward does what he does best and pays millions over market value and brings Scott Drew to Baton Rouge with an offer he can’t refuse.

I think that’d probably get everyone excited again. Might still have to rebuild the roster, but I imagine it would happen quicker with Drew.

10 million/year 6 year contract should do it. Woodward would have no problem spending that

A big time coach can rebuild a basketball roster in one season

We'd be right back on track year 2 at the latest

If only we had an AD who was focused on finding the cheapest hire he could get instead of someone who tries to get the best available coaches no matter the cost.

Damn we have some miserable fans

Reminder that both parties would likely meet in a neutral city. Gotta track 2 flights

Still blows my mind how some fans are so concerned how other people spend their money.

That was a great game. I didn't see the beginning when Baylor started out slowly. I just saw the last third of the game. They hustled and were well-coached.

Man, don't get my hopes up. I'd Drew as a coach. He is one guy that could keep most of the team even with uncertainty on sanctions.

He can’t even get to the Sweet 16. Can recruit but can’t coach up the talent.

Did I do that right?

He's like 90 years old and probably can't use a smartphone. Hard pass.

Scott Drew, Brad Stevens, and Tony Bennett would be A+++ hires and would prevent alot of melting.

We certainly will make a play. I wonder how much a new arena will entice a coach as the coach can certainly give their input on what they would want. I would think I’d be a huge advantage we offer. I’m sure Mulkey has a lot of input as well as she deserves!!
