Most of the times these games happen when the coach from up north calls CPM & asks to play LSU. Most northern teams make a swing thru the southern states at that time of the yr & coaches are just trying to put a package of games together. I presume that when CPM was coaching at ND he played a lot of those teams & the coaches have a connection with him that way. I like it over playing ULLLLLL, S.E, or Nicholls St.etc

I respect your opinion, but based on what?

Based on the fact that were a bubble team last year (finished with a top 30 RPI I believe) and had signed a very good recruiting class. They will probably be among the top 40 teams to start the season. They started last season by going on the road and taking 2/3 from UCLA.

outside of CSF, we haven't scheduled anyone worth 2 fricks OOC. That's why the Box is 3/4's empty until SEC starts

Well that's a little bit of an over embellishment and statement in generalization.

The Box sells out (paid attendance) every home game, and that's what TAF cares about

Yeah, who gives a shite if we play good teams. I mean, why would you want to thank the season ticket holders by scheduling someone with a pulse?

Have you ever sat your butt in The Box for that first mth or so? It's fricking cold. So what if it's not filled, LSU still has a higher actual attendance in those mths than most all schools around the country. Didn't realilze the negatators showed up to knock baseball too.

I understand the schedule sucks. It has sucked in general since CPM has coached here. But I still don't think that is why attendance is lacking. It certainly isn't 3/4 empty as you have previously embellished. Like any sport, you're going to have lower attendance for your OOC schedule because you will have cupcakes a la LSU football and certainly your beloved LSU basketball. I think a lot of the attendance also has to do with weather as a previous poster has stated. I've say my arse through 9 innings through many a windy, frozen Feb/March game. Baseball is a family activity and I can understand many fathers not wanting to have to deal with their ridiculous children throughout those game along with the older crowd and women alike.

Is the reason LSU basketball attendance was so gawd awful against Northwestern St was because its a shitty OOC game or because its Thanksgiving? I'd say its a little of both but the main culprit is Thanksgiving.

Just my two cents brah.

Ivy League team statistics are off the charts.....SATs that is. The players are the future leaders of America. IVY vs LSU was scheduled so that the IVY players could recruit lawn boys for their mansions figuring any team that could maintain a yard like Alex Box has to be good at it.

But seriously....speed in IVY League baseball does not exist.
