9. We have 16 consecutive years of winning at least 8 games, losing breaks the streak

For O? It's a 10. He needs to start inspiring confidence ASAP.

I always want the Tigers to win so I will give it an 8 in importance. Really depends on who they play.

10.

The only thing LSU can pride itself on in 8 wins a year for the entire century. Without that then LSU is exactly what matt lienart says LSU is and that's garbage.

But if you can throw 8 wins a year in Matt leinart's face then he has to cower in fear.

I'll go with 10. A blowout win in the Tigers favor would go a long way in building momentum for the off season. I would certainly help with recruiting and fan hype. With all that being said if you come out and blow the first game Wisconsin style the bowl game will be a distant memory.

1.
And most of our games past October from here on out will be pretty meaningless.
We will be out of it by then anyway.

Welcome to mediocrity people.

10. With weeks to prepare it needs to be a good showing so that there will excitement surrounding the program. This might also put us back on the map nationally (especially if it's the Sugar Bowl or any bowl vs a top program).

Going to a bowl game and the additional practices that it includes is a 10 in significance. Winning the game is considerably less significant.

I think it depends on who we play (obviously).

I really hope we get matched up with a good team like Michigan. I want to see what Coach O can do with the extra practices.

7 We need to start off the real Ed Orgeron era with as much of a bang as possible considering we will be playing in a meaningless game. It would help if we could get into the Sugar Bowl.

A bad bowl game will create a stench like a rotting limb. If you think this place is bad now, imagine LSU laying an egg against a quality opponent in a bowl game.
