To be fair, I thought it would be a terrible mistake to hire him from the start. That was before the Bama and Florida losses.

It's funny because then they bitch even more about the HC every time a recruit chooses another school or a player transfers.
Hell if recruits and players read this board which I'm sure they do that should be enough to steer them the hell away from LSU. Too many IDIOT so-called Fans and trolls on this site.

Yep. Look I am not saying Coach O was who I wanted but the other two candidates only used LSU to fatten their wallets (jimbo twice now). Coach O wanted to be here and dammit he is here now nothing is changing that. There are two options now: You cheer for the man that WANTS to be here or YOU BITCH about the two coaches we didn't get that DIDN'T want to be here and bad mouth Coach O. I choose the first.

They should. but there are posts on the recruiting board by James Smith (JimmyDetails?) from the NOLA website/paper about recruits and recruit's parents who are affected by the LSU message boards.
Whether it should be irrelevant is irrelevant - this board is the easiest access most recruits not attending U-High have to LSU for LSU news, other LSU information and LSU sports.
They are subjected to it 24/7 365. You see players and recruits respond on twitter and other media to statements made about them here and on the recruiting board.

That florida lost sucks especially for me out here. Honestly the defense had alot to do with that lost especially Donte Jackson but let's just say the Alabama lost can be blamed on our lack of Qb recruiting over the last 8 years also. Coach O gets the blame but so does every coach when they lose. No excuses Coach O lost those games

So there were two coaches and then O? That's it? The landscape of CFB HC hires are Jimbo, Herman and O?
I'm not going to read a lot into this transfer, but in my objective opinion, LSU is going to see a huge dropoff in year 3 or so. I hope I'm wrong and I'm rooting for CEO and LSU always.
But in 3 years or so the narrative will change from the apologists when they realize CEO was an Alleva getting his feelings hurt hire for a program that has shown eliteness. CEO hire at LSU is UF Zook replacing Spurrier.

Cheering for someone and saying preemptively how great they're gonna do are two different things. I cheered for LSU the whole time Curley was the HC, but i didn't claim he was a great coach and we're gonna win 'ships with him

If you do that would be a first.
You objectively think recruiting us going to be much worse than the last few years even though LSU has Coach O, Austin Thomas, T. Robinson (past year's top recruiter) and Meatball (current class's top recruiter)?
Everyone has an opinion but I wonder just how objective yours is.

I'll stand by my statement that UF hiring Zook after Spurrier is akin to LSU hiring CEO after Miles.
Neither one deserved the job nor were anywhere near a good hire.
