Not sure he'll be on the team. I do hope he is though.

I’ll wait to get the insights of Ronnie Rantz.

The deep cave he has run into...

I feel like he's Helga Pataki from Hey Arnold and has a shrine in his closet of Bianco like she did of Arnold

Someone said that he removed LSU from his bio on social media but I don't know if that's true or if it means anything. I believe he has another free year of juco if he wants it.

Still on Twitter and his LSU announcement tweet is still pinned

He's a senior, pretty sure he can't go to a JuCo

3-of-19 on throwing out steal attempts. It could also be on the coaching and pitchers for the number of steals

Yeah? Maybe his 345 average is due to shitty pitching. Being realistic, it looks like this guy is another Travinski - a negative defensively but a good bat.

If I had to guess, with so little to go on, I’d guess that Milazzo is the starter if he can hit 200. But if he’s hovering below 150 it will be tempting to play McManus. But McManus has to do better than 3/19.

I'm not a hitting expert but their is a possibility for Milazzo to improve. I think his approach and recognition is good. The problem that Ben McDonald pointed out was him dragging his lead foot towards 3B making him vulnerable to pitches low and away. Trying to correct that mid season is no easy task. Changing your form takes learning new muscle memory. This is his money year. Last off season he was injured. I think he will be working hard this off season to correct his form.

I agree, I think his issue looks very fixable but it needs to be a pretty big improvement to contend at the C spot again. His hitting was just that bad.

Bottom line is don’t worry about that part when regarding what’s important for a catcher

Also, people should be stealing all the time and I don’t understand why they don’t

Oh, don’t worry about a catcher’s throw to second? Wow!

Also, the reason people don’t steal all the time is because good catchers would massacre them. When they face a catcher like Milazzo they don’t dream of stealing unless they get a great opportunity.

You’re answering about McManus to questions about Jobert.

Bases are stolen off of the pitcher. The read is the pitcher, not the catcher. Now, that said, an elite catcher can nullify some of the advantage a runner gets from that read by having a lower (faster) reaction time between catch and release. But the pitcher is who the runner is reading when attempting to steal.

Let’s see, he had 11 hits in 30 ABs against SEC pitching

Alex Milazzo had 17 hits. All year.
