You see what this team can do if/when they just play a little bit of good defense. The last 4-5 minutes they were better than they've been all game. In turn, the offense, which rarely slumps, can explode and put game out of reach.
Day 1, Leblanc is far and away LSU's best defender.

The trap is Will's bread and butter. When its run right its very effective. He used it a lot at VCU. Ideally you want a 7 footer at the back end to guard the rim. With our length it will cause teams problems this year.

I tuned in a little before and it was sloppy, lazy bball. Straightening it out to finish.

Yep. Can is an easy call for 20+ PPG in the SEC this season. I think he'll average around 23 to 26 in the league which is nuts

Come on 20-point win.

He is a baller no doubt, just needs to pull in some of the shot selection when he is off

Well they played well for about half and played like shite for the other half

held them to 31% shooting in the second half with 10 turnovers.

Hopefully we close this one out and win by 20 here
Winning by 22 makes it look better, stil la team we should have beat by 30+ easily but we made things interesting a bit

Had to take the kid for a Covid test today or wouldn’t have been home to watch. Nice conciliation prize.

Considering we were missing our coach and one of our best payers, I'll take it.

Yep, dude is a scorer, he can score in a variety of different ways and can still put up points even when his shot is a little off like it was today. He does a tremendous job getting to the stripe.

had the team total over at 89.5 ... smh

I'll take it. 20 point win and got our new guys a lot of experience and game tape to go off of. And most importantly, we stayed healthy.
Really liked what Javonte and Mwani did today. Ironically our defense kept our lead when we went into our rate scoring slumps.
From what I can tell, it seems like Mwani and especially Cam ball watch a lot in half court defense and it leads to their man getting open. Other than that, our starting 5 really did well today despite some obvious rust for Manning. I think Wade would have helped Cam and Days through some bad mental minutes on the court.
Leblanc is going to be niiiice for this team. I think the one downside is I have a hard time seeing a role for Gaines this season when the rotation shortens.

Leblanc is long AF. He will make a huge difference
Smart is really shooting well so far this year.
Thomas is just pressing a bit, he will be fine.
I really like what Cook brings and Hyatt gave some productive minutes.
Manning will be fine, but damn he struggled shooting today.
This team can be really good, but we have to keep improving defensively.
