Kimmy welcome and I hope so. I will hold my judgment on Sage until I see him on the field. Honeybadger and Jamal made it look easy out there I hope Sage does too. We need a top notch safety roaming that backfield again.

You mean Craig steltz and Jack Hunt?

Langlois can only be the next steltz bc of obvious reasons

Jamal Adams is and was overrated.. The Honey Badger was the truth... I thought Chad Jones was better than Adams..

Feel like Jamal Adams lacked a little effort later in his LSU career.

Mal isn’t a cover guy by any means. He’s a true box safety that must be used right to be effective. If used right, he’s incredible.

You’re absolutely retarded if you think Chad Jones was better than Jamal Adams. Adams might be the best and most talented LSU safety of all time.

I kinda agree with that although Jamal was a downright beast in the box...The Honey Badger is in a league of his own
The amount of turnovers and game changing plays the Badger made puts him in a category by himself as well as being the greatest #7
It’s too early to be labeling anybody the next Honey Badger...just yet

TM7 was a generational talent, Linda like Michael Phelps. We may not see another one in our lifetime.

Not that horrible interview again
No hate towards sage.

I feel like Matthieu was the best football player I’ve seen in an LSU uniform. Physically gifted but mentally thought the game differently. Could see and anticipate like no one else I’ve ever seen.
If it wouldn’t have been for the issues his last year and he continued to play like he had there would be no question

the problem is he was a nickel back more than a safety
he even played boundary corner a good bit at LSU (got toasted all night in the title game against Bama)

I’m very high on Sage Ryan’s highlights, also, but have you seen the highlights of the other two? Davis and Langlois are the real deal. Don’t be surprised if Sage Ryan isn’t first among them.

No, he didn’t. LSU’s defense had him leaning in against the run. Bama executed some perfect outs and their QB dropped dimes. It didn’t amount to much, but with our offense doing absolutely zero, it seemed like it.
The defense outperformed Bama’s offense that night, giving up only five FG - often on short fields - until the game was over when they quit and gave up a TD.

If so, Sage will be the starting safety this year. We need a serious upgrade at that position.
