Jamal never could cover... Being an undersized linebacker masquerading as a safety never impressed me... If he is considered the best safety in LSU history that's not saying a lot about the talent we've had at safety.. He benefitted from LSUs DBU rep and the national media just pushed the hype... He's comparible to Laron Landry who was also a very good in the box safety... I appreciate a ball hawking type of safety more than a downhill head hunter.. Name calling isn't necessary we are just discussing a game..

I just hope that Ryan lives up to his 5* rating.. The Honey Badger was special at LSU..

No, he didn’t. LSU’s defense had him leaning in against the run. Bama executed some perfect outs and their QB dropped dimes. It didn’t amount to much, but with our offense doing absolutely zero, it seemed like it.

To add to that I think Bama threw for like 200 yards that game. Hardly a toasting of LSU’s secondary. It felt worse, because like you said, LSU did absolutely nothing offensively. Had the offense even put together a couple of field goal drives, Bama scores around 9-12 points.

Didn't he have a major knee injury that cut his senior season short? If so, I don't look for him to contribute this coming season.

Sage Ryan gives me that Jamal Adams feeling. You knew off top Adams was going to be a stud. We didn't give a shite about Hootie Jones going to Bama when we got the news that Adams was likely ours. LSU's secondary is going to be fricking ridiculous this year.

If you talking about Sage, he pulled a hammy in the quarterfinals. He's back healthy.

I’m very high on Sage Ryan’s highlights, also, but have you seen the highlights of the other two? Davis and Langlois are the real deal. Don’t be surprised if Sage Ryan isn’t first among them.
I think Davis starts before Ryan and will be a star too, but man Ryan gives me superstar All American vibes. I don't remember the last time we had a safety as athletic as him.

Langlois looks really good too. I like that this year we picked up a lot of lower ranked guys that actually seem like legit good players instead of the 3 stars in that 2018 class that looked awful and was even worse.

Isn’t Langlois a 3 star ? LINK /

I don’t think any of them looked awful in the highlights. I think it’s best to wait and see until they actually play in tiger stadium. Nobody predicted Mathieu who was a three star recruit to be as dominant as he was.

The way Sage moves around/lurks pre snap reminds me of JA.

I have seen the others highlights. I have seen Sage play live since his eighth grade season on varsity at LCA. My son was a senior on the team at the time. Sage has something special. If one of these three start, I would put my money on sage. I will admit I may be biased.

Langlois can only be the next steltz bc of obvious reasons

Tbh, Langlois’s defensive tape reminds me of Grant Delpit. He covers so much ground and his range is phenomenal.

If he ends up like Delpit, I think we're in pretty good shape.
