Only game I ever bet on and won $50.

Afterward CBB said we kicked their arse, which we did, as the score was closer than the game. He retired and was dead shortly thereafter. RIP CBB...

Curious what the series record is if you remove Bear and Saban games.

The 1982 game was in Birmingham.

Yes was at that fiasco! Mailed in the last play and receiver went untouched into end zone in Orlando!

82 was at legion field 20-10. Ended 11 game losing streak.

Legion Field. They were selling bumper stickers outside "I was there when we beat the Bear. LSU 20 Alabama 10"

Ink was still drying on them.

I bought one. Don't know if I still have it.

Rough Math:
With: 56-27-1
Without: 27-27-1

Note though: that Total only takes out wins during Saban/Bryant tenure. (This it includes some wins LSU had with Saban as LSU HC and the wins LSU had against Saban/Bear)
If you take out those it’s closer to 27-16 or something like that.

He knew he’d never win at LSU again and quit.

Just quit. He skeered

Kelly owns Saban. I think that played a big role in his retirement. He couldn’t compete with us and that just ate him up.
