The SEC West was not nearly as tough when Saban was at LSU.

Let’s look at It this way, if Nick Saban was still here, would LSU have the same record as the one Orgeron has. I think he would have built LSU into the same team he has at Alabama.

Pissing on Coach O while he is building a top-10 program is beyond stupid. The Nega-Tigers were dead wrong about O, and now they're trying to save face by slamming a damn good HC. Pathetic!
wow. Top 10 rebuild? No.

So... LSU is NOT a top-10 ranked team by AP? C'Mon.

First time in half a decade or so, right?

Give it a rest. 10-3, 5-3 could've easily earned a mid-teens AP rank most years.

Florida was a lot tougher when saban started at Lsu. Orgeron is 1-2 against with a definitively more talented team in every game.

All year you have told this board that 1. joe burrow is a better quarterback than Dwayne haskins and 2. Joe burrow is a top 5 quarterback in college football. You've said repeatedly that everyone would see both of these things to be true by the end of year.

It’s now the end of the year. State your case for each of those things being true.

LSU football had been an afterthought for ~12 years prior to the arrival of Saban. In fact the 1999 season was one of the worst ever at the school, with a team record 8 straight losses, at least 4 of them in blowout fashion.

Saban actually created a winning program out of nothing. That's why even an embarrassing homecoming loss vs UAB didn't generate much outrage; expectations were really low back then.

I think 2018 is comparable and SEC overall strength peaked between 2010-2015.

Let's say for 8 of the previous 11, all losing records.

That 1999 team was one of the most frustrating ever. The team finished with less than 1000 yds rushing for the whole year, and Josh Booty threw for only 7 tds w/ 19 INTs, and losses included the following: 41-7 v. Auburn (the infamous Cigar Bowl), 31-10 v. Florida, 5-31 @ Kentucky, and 42-23 v. Ole Miss!

Saban...fashioned a winning tradition at LSU, out of nothing. Dinardo brought back the whites in Tiger Stadium, which was wonderful, but Saban made winning the norm.

Coach O has one ten win season and all of a sudden he’s never going to lose more than 3 games.

So??? What's your point - that he's not as great as his National Championships would indicate? Give it up - he is!

This is something I’d expect someone under 25 to say. 2002 we didn’t have the depth and too many injuries. Still almost win the west. 2004 we got creamed at UGA in a double revenge spot. The other loss was at Auburn, who went undefeated, on a penalty that was literally only called that 1 time and on a Hail Mary in a bowl after he quit and probably shouldn’t have been coaching in the first place.

59 is really good at remembering who fumbled in the LSU-Ole Miss game in Jackson in 1967 but he wears the thickest purple and gold glasses ever.

In Saban’s third year, he lost to Alabama by 31 and didn’t score.

Orgeron only lost by 29 and didn’t score.
