It is without a doubt an honor that he earned and deserves but he should be inducted after he retires. Not while he is coaching a team that LSU competes against every year. Wtf?

No doubt Saban deserves to be honored in our state’s HOF. I just don’t like the timing. They should have waited until he retired from coaching. I think there are some anti-LSU forces driving this. Screw them...

LSU should protest this shiteshow. That’s an utter fricked up move and without question a shot at LSU. This could have easily waited years after he retired. One could only hope there could be a ton of no shows and and a drowning of hisses & boos during his presentation. (Won’t happen)

He deserves every bit of the accolades. He rebuilt LSU football after the likes of Archer, Hallman, and DiNardo (although DiNardo did get us white jerseys back at home) all but destroyed it. Saban's players loved him and we loved him while he was here at LSU. He was and is a family man who does his utmost to be the best that he can be and to perform for his employer. I may not enjoy what he has done to our Tigers since he has been at Alabamastan, but I fully respect him as a person and appreciate what he did for The Ole War Skule while he was here.
And look at it this way: It's a slap in the face to Alabamastan. They know damned well that they'd never have returned to prominence without finding a way to steal an LSU coach and laundering him through Miami like a drug deal.
Congrat's Coach Saban. You've earned the respect, but you also have to deal with the angst of Tiger fans just like Paul Dietzel did.

Personally, I'd rather they hold off on that until LSU beats him or until he retires.
But he does deserve it eventually.
