This started last season when he ripped former player for leaving early and not being happy for them to go make their hard earned $$$. Former players then bashed him on social media saying he doesn't care about his players, etc...

Bama has expected A LOT from Tua in the past 2 years after injuries... I still think he shouldn't have played the whole LSU game and he should have NOT been in the Miss St. game when he got hurt. I feel for Tua. Tua's injury does reflect poorly on Saban.

Also 2 weeks ago on ESPN he basically said players now are self-absorbed (said, "I dont want to use the term self-absorbed, but...") and that he doesn't like how players now voice concern about how things will affect them and their career.

The Bama dynasty is fading. Schools like LSU will take bigger and bigger chunks for their recruits. I am really upset about the Tua situation.

What you want to do is look to your left and select SEC Rant. From there you'll see a menu that says "Team Forums". You'll want to click the one that says Alabama.

From there you should be able to discuss all things Tide.

I am torn. As a 50 year old, I agree with everything he says about players nowadays.

I do see that he was exceptionally tone deaf to his comments and his reactions to Tua being hurt. A robot would be more compassionate.

Only in the carnage that follows, I dont think he should be put on the cross for an absolute fluke injury.

I honestly think this may be the beginning of the end for Saban. After the LSU game he looked old, tired and defeated. It got worse after the Tua injury.

If Bama doesn't miraculously back in to the playoffs, Saban will get roasted by the press and more importantly the fans and boosters in Bama. At nearly 70, the stress of running a program at the level Saban does takes it's toll. I wouldn't be surprised if he hangs it up soon.

what U want to do is some reading comprehension and pull out one of the major themes of the piece... saban's missteps and inability to adapt to the 2019 game / social media landscape will greatly impact LSU's recruiting.

what U also want to do is... next time use the 15 seconds it took to type ur reply and do something meaningful with your time.

This is the middle of the end. The beginning was the 44-16 beatdown from Clemson.

I don’t blame him at all for having Tua in. It was the first half, and unfortunately style points matter a great deal in the eyes of the CFP committee.

I dont have a clue what went into any of the decisions to play him or not. Seems like possible desperation to play him against us but what the hell do I know about it. I would have thought they would sit him v Miss St and W Carolina. But again what do I know? I dont think its good enough to say that “he wanted to play”.

He did not handle Tua well at all, The statement at his presser 'this injury had nothing to do with his earlier injury', is self-serving and requires a level of expertise he does not possess.

But, if anyone thinks he is done, you are crazy. Saban will leave on his terms, and only when he decides that is in his best interest. He is not Coach O, he is a hired gun with no real love or allegiance to Alabama.

He just comes across so uncaring...he doesn’t seem to care about Tua as a person at all

I think his players aren’t listening to him like they did 10 years ago. A major part of his plan has come and gone... Bama is no longer better than LSU.

Well said.

I know we want Saban to fail miserably, but we shouldn't want that at the expense of the game. It's a bad thing for the game to see these players become more "self-centered" vs. "team-centered".
