I can’t stand the people who have some vendetta against Saban like he left LSU directly for UA. Saban would have came back to LSU if we needed him. He doesn’t have a problem with LSU or Louisiana. Obviously, he uses those coaching connections for recruiting

I have never had anthing but respect for Nick SAban as a coach and we should all be very appreciative of what was accomplished during his tenure at LSU. He totally changed the culture and mindset here and laid the groundwork for an incredible decade of LSU football. That does not excuse him from following NCAA rules, no matter how trivial.

The rules allow certain things and forbid certain things, no matter ho wtrivial. All schools should abide by those rules. Many are tough to enforce unless a violation occurs in the open or someone makes a post on social media as happened in this instance.

With all due respect, all of these rules are written in a manner to allow arbitrary enforcement. Surely you understand that. That said, nothing will happen to 'Bama football as a result. As it stands now, they are untouchable, get repeated mulligans etc. The lake house is the least of what they are doing to 'persuade' recruits.

Assuming it is a violation, why have rules against it if it is trivial. Somehow those who make NCAA rules would have believed it worthy of being forbidden.
well there are degrees of violations. Just like armed robbery is more severe than driving 1 mph over the speed limit. A cop will ignore the speeding because it's trivial, even though illegal.
