YouTube vid

Someone posted it on SECR. I just wish that there were notes/subtitles to tie the comments to a game or player or situation.

Worth the watch .. the end was great.

Awesome video.

And damn, that comment about the LSU facilities at the end. Many have been addressed except for the PMAC.

Those were some good times. Two things he mentioned tackling chest to chest(I don't know how much our former defensive staff talked about tackling or practiced it. Also even Saban thinks the PMAC needs to be fixed.

People forget how much of a sense of humor the guy has. That story his pastor told him about Tiger Stadium being closer to the kingdom of Heaven!

Mark Emmert had a plan for a Flagship University. He knew that a successful football program was the key to fundraising to create the Flagship University.

The Flagship football program plan included investing heavily into the football program: increase coaches salaries (8X) and hire an elite head coach, pour money into building up the football facilities. The football facilities were planned by Mark Emmert. He told those plans to Saban:
quote:

I WAS TOLD WHEN I CAME HERE there were three things we were gonna do: improve the living conditions for the players (which we have), build an academic supp0rt center (which we have), and the last thing we were gonna do is build a football facility for football. THAT'S WHAT THE COACH [Saban] WAS TOLD.
Nick Saban stating that we was TOLD the plans for the football program.

Did we really have no other facilities for practice before he came? Where did they practice? No indoor facilities prior to saban?

Did other schools have that back then?

The indoor facility was built around 1991. I for sure did baseball showcase workouts in there when I was in high school in the mid 90's.

Saban's attention to detail is unmatched.

That was the most concerning thing about his defense all year. Tackling was terrible especially by the DBs. Lineman, LB's and DBs need to be taught different tackling techniques. For example lineman can overpower RBs but DBs cannot. Our DBs tackled way too high on RBs and lost leverage every time. If DBs want to know how to tackle watch the Honey Badger during his prime. A smallish dude that brought down big RBs and TEs one on one. Tyrann Mathieu knows how to use leverage.

LSU built the Indoor Practice Facility in 1990.

LSU built the Academic Center for Student-Athletes in 2002.

LSU built the Football Operations Center in 2005.

The indoor facility was around before Saban. I remember Fan Day took place in there one time when I was a kid.

Your head is so far up Saban's arse that your brain refuses to accept what your eyes just saw and what your ears just heard.

Saban did not CREATE the plan. Saban was PART of the plan.

You just saw a video confirming it, but your so damn stubborn that you cannot admit you were wrong.

You just saw the video. WTF?!?!
