Giants released him 6 different times this year. He must have a chair just for him in the coach's office. I will say that is persistence .

he is going to make counterfeit keys to the city

He's a practice squad guy - they sign multiple short deals per year, provided they're working out.

I'm just glad he has a paying job. Best of luck to the guy.

After going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings invited Perrilloux to tryout for the team. He was later signed by the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League. On January 13, 2011, Perriloux was signed to a reserve/future contract with the New York Giants. On September 3, 2011, he was cut from the Giants' roster. He was re-signed the same day to the practice squad. He was released from the practice squad on September 17, and was re-signed again on September 23. Perrilloux was waived again on September 28. He was re-signed to the practice squad on October 8, but released again on October 12, only to be re-signed again on October 17.[25] He was released from the practice squad again on November 2, 2011 [26] and signed to the practice squad again on November 11, 2011 before being released once again on November 26, 2011
Uh--What?

Does anyone know the Giants advantage of doing this to a player throughout the year?

Just a guess here, but it probably has to do with union rules, 7-day contracts (as in, we need a practice squad QB this week, but not next week, based on our active roster changes), etc.

At least he gets a ring
That will be pretty valuable if you auction it off

Just before the team left for Indianapolis, Capers replaced quarterback Ryan Perrilloux on the roster. Perrilloux has been involved in 26 moves, including 12 cuts this season, and will be in attendance this weekend, according to a team spokesman, as a guest of the Giants.

Just because you're released that doesn't mean anything. He can stay on their practice squad for 3 years.
I think back when Bubba Alexander was on the practice squad with the Cowboys, he told me that gig paid $3K/week. Obviously if you're called up you're making a gamecheck, which is more than that.
So if he were cut, that meant he was signed 6 times. Which means he was on the team the entire year, for 20 weeks, at $3K/week, which means he pulled down at least $60-$70K this year, plus if he was active roster for the Super Bowl, then he almost doubled that, since the league pays each player from the winning team $50K/player bonus.
So pretty sure RP pulled down six figures this year, easy. Granted the cost of living there is REDONKULOUS, but still not a bad chunk of change.

It's extremely common with practice squad players on every NFL team.
There was actually an article in the NY Times that was written about Perrilloux, that talked about this stuff.
quote:
The main reason for situations like Perrilloux’s is simple N.F.L. staffing. Roster spots are at a premium — teams are allowed 53 active players and 8 players on the practice squad — so developing an extra quarterback like Perrilloux, 24, who went undrafted in 2010 after stints at Louisiana State and Jacksonville State, is a luxury.
The Giants have Eli Manning as their starter and David Carr as his primary backup, so the team can essentially use Perrilloux’s roster spot as a safety valve. On Wednesday, for example, they wanted an extra defensive back on the field during practice so they signed Brandon Bing, a former cornerback at Rutgers, and cut Perrilloux.
