Former LSU safety and NFL studio analyst Ryan Clark has signed a multi-year contract extension with ESPN, the network announced Wednesday morning, a three-year deal that keeps the Marrero native a year-round staple within the network's shows and platforms.

Clark joined ESPN in 2015, shortly after he retired from a 13-year NFL career that included eight seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he helped the franchise win Super Bowl XLIII and made a Pro Bowl in 2011.

A graduate of Shaw High, Clark was a three-year starter at free safety for LSU from 1998-2001. Clark was named second team All-SEC in 2000, and, after LSU won the Southeastern Conference title in 2001, he signed a free agent deal with the New York Giants.

There is zero things wrong with having more LSU guys in the tops of the media.

I'm happy that a former Tiger is doing well. He does an excellent job as an analyst and his segment on Get Up explaining his tweets is really funny.

The problem I have with him is that he wants to be able to say whatever he wants and paint white America as racist, but then doesn't want anyone to say anything at all about his community. He's a blatant hypocrite and race baiter.

Yeah as much as posters can get mad. This is good for LSU and Lsu football. Recruits will see an alum on national media everyday with his own show is big. Hopefully he can get some LSU interns and grads working on his team from the journalism school. Could be big!

What if they are racists that use their national platform to

-hurt the LSU program
-try and ruin teenage girls futures

The idea that RC has been a net positive for the LSU football program recently his hilariously wrong. He literally has thrown egotistical hissy fits where he retired his support in favor Arizona State because he didnt get what he wants and then also tried to encourage players to turn on the coaching staff.

And it can easily backfire just as well. Once he starts bashing Coach O and LSU for anything to do with BLM, it will be a negative look against the program.

That’s good for him. Glad he is successful. Don’t agree at all with most of the things he does and says but I’m fine with him having the platform to say it and ESPN believes the same things he does so they are a perfect fit. I won’t watch it nor care what he says on there but still good for him and his family.

That is all well and fine. If Ryan Clark tries to race bait or undermine the LSU Athletic Department I would look to former players to set the record straight with Ryan on a national platform. For me it's just the same as a dirty cop that terrorizes the neighborhoods while the good cops stand by and say nothing. They are just as guilty in my book.

So now that he has his show, I hope the former players hold his arse accountable and not just stand by and say nothing if it is evident that he is intentionally hurting the Athletic Department. JMO

I am a white man. I listen to him quite a bit. while I certainly don't agree with everything he says, I don't feel that he

. He certainly tends to see problems that may not exist, but I am also able to acknowledge that there may be problems that I can't see. I do not feel that he is a race baiter. he has a different perspective, that is all.
