LOL, Arkansas was a dead man walking last year. Now they can beat anyone in the country.

LSU should play them in Yankee Stadium honestly, since LSU loves to play games at neutral sites now

I wouldn't mind playing them at Met Life in September (would be great for tailgaters) ...Yankee Stadium would be crappy seating for football...

It's only 40 miles from NYC. Fans would love it and maybe the game could be played in NYC...

Actually Tony went to Seton Hall but was not a graduate. He made it a semester and a half.

Playing in Yankee Stadium has absolutely no value these days. They tore down the stadium that mattered, might as well play a game in Williams Port.

Maybe with TV rights thrown in a home game might be financially worthwhile but the Tigers have no reason to travel to NJ to play in front of 50 thousand fans (at most) and boost Rutgers' ability to pull in NJ/NYC recruits.

I would've enjoyed an LSU-Rutgers match up. If LSU turned it down, though, I'm sure there was a good reason.

Rutgers is 5-11-2 vs the SEC all time. Rutgers needs to beat someone besides Arkansas, Kentucky and Vandy before running that mouth.

I'd rather play Rutgers than some of rent-a-wins we schedule. Besides, my sister lives in Joisey just a few miles from the Rutgers campus.

There some benefits. We who live in NJ know how the Tiger faithful up here would show what real fun college football can be....the experience will leave a lingering impression in their hearts and minds. Plus we are close to getting a blue chip WR from NJ. Why shud Penn St or OSU get them all

By that reasoning, why the hell do we play in Starkville, College Station, Auburn, or Gainesville?

You do realize Piscataway, NJ is a 45 minute drive from downtown Manhattan?

Do you honestly think the home home with Washington was much better?

Rutgers’ High Point Solutions Stadium holds just 52,454 fans. Only Vanderbilt Stadium (40,350) among the 14 SEC schools holds less.

quote:

Independence Bowl in 2006, the stadium went through a renovation to extend the capacity from 52,000 to 59,000. Then in 2008, the City of Shreveport created an entire new section of the stadium. This portion would allow the stadium capacity to be expanded only if need be. This expanse put the total capacity at 63,000.

LINK

Foster Campbell introduced a bill in the Louisiana Legislature requiring LSU to play one home game a season in Shreveport. I laughed when I heard this because in the dark years of Curly Hallman and Jerry Denardo, LSU put 75,000 in the stands. If we wouldn't do it for one of our own cities, then why would we do it for them.
