Did you not know that it was his choice to move to receiver? He DID NOT want to play QB.

Yes he asked to move to WR after the Florida game because he knew he could not help the team from the bench and he was not getting his opportunity.

If you stretch and interpret that as meaning he did/does not want to be QB then you are as wrong as rain.

when you average about 45 plays a game, it's quite limited for all of our big time - recruited players to get their fair share.

How many wide quick receiver screens were thrown badly to him this year? Seems like the WR screens usually were for RS, but that he was always lurching up or down or behind him for the ball.

#12 could occasionally make that throw-- inconsistently; #9 never could.

I have no idea what you are talking about. He wanted to play QB, Les gave him the opportunity. It was his decision to switch positions because he was having a hard time with the QB position and thought he could better serve the team elsewhere.

It just so happened to come after he sat the bench the entire game. A game in which LSU scored 3 points. Right after the game he made the switch to WR and posted on his Facebook that he hoped he didn't just make the biggest mistake of his life. Yeah...sounds like he really wanted to move to WR.

He wanted to play and knew he had no chance of starting over Jordan Jefferson regardless of if he was better or not.

He wasn't better than Jefferson...that's kind of the point.

I'm pretty confident that in 12 games moneyg, you could've thrown 4 touchdown passes if not more.

I really find that hard to believe. They've tried to make Jordan Jefferson something he isn't, a running QB. They then proceeded to take a running QB, and make him something he isn't, a wide receiver.

Zone reads, QB power, and counter with Shep would be lethal. We run it with Jefferson. Jefferson isn't a better runner than Shep. Whatever.

bullshite. Les is too thick-headed to understand what Shep could provide at qb. Shep realized too late that he was playing for a dimmer version of Bo Schembechler, but decided to make the switch and honor his commitment to LSU.

I call BS on you... RS was a phenomenal athlete in High School... a man among boys on the Cy Fair ISD playing fields... but in the SEC he's a lot more "average"....

He came to LSU because he liked Les, and Les said he would let him try to play QB -- but after practicing at QB, RB and WR he (Shep) that his best chance to play (at LSU and beyond) was to become a quality receiver... he wanted to focus on that full time. So far, he's pretty average at that... he not exactly wide open on most of his routes (if you can focus on him for several plays) -- and then he's dropped several balls that were catchable. Hopefully he improves and he has 2 more seasons at LSU to get there.

He's happy at LSU -- he's a great "recruiter" for LSU and I, for one, thank Les for giving him a shot at QB... while probably fully realizing that he simply was not going to be an SEC starter at QB.

I would like to see what he could do in a "wild Tiger" taking the direct snap and running a few times a game.

As for him passing.... my bet is that IF the game is secured on SR day, or homecoming, or the very last game of his career -- Les let's him throw a pass -- sort of like a baseball player playing 1 inning at each position... a gimmic and a salute on his way out.

He wasn't given a fair chance at QB. Hard to be a good QB when the coaches are shuffling you back and forth between three positions.

It's a shame too. Could have been a better version of Pat White for us. Instead, 2 years wasted, 2 years to go.
