[quote]Les Miles has ZERO IDEA what to do with the talent he recruits... SORRY!!!!!!!! FACT.............
10 first round draft choices in his years at LSU says a WHOLE LOT DIFFERENT BY PROFESSIONAL EVALUATORS! 25 first day picks in 7 years. That's either the best record in college football for player production or real close. Those are the facts, without supposition or opinion.

They don't let little things like facts get in the way of their hate. There are some legitimate complaints about Miles, but guys in this thread are proving how little they know about football, or competitive sports in general.

why don't you list the different ways our coaching staff put the ball in his hands. Then find me another player who touched the ball in so many different ways for us. The coaching staff was limited because his passing is atrocious and he can't catch. That removes kickoffs and punt returns. Limits your plays at WR to only running plays. His plays at RB were limited because he isn't big enough to pick up a blitz and was inconsistent catching passes out of the backfield.

The coaches tried to put him on the field a ton of different ways. He was limited because all he could do is run.

You can't start at WR if you can't catch. And you won't get 10 plays at RB if you can't pass block or catch.

That must be why the talent he recruits has won more games in the SEC than any other SEC school since 2005.

zero creativity to get him the ball. Zero creativity on our offense.

I have no idea how to incorporate Shep into a Les Miles offense, at Baylor or Oregon I think he would have faired better in leagues that do not hit or play D and that value a perimeter game over a pro style.

He will get the opportunity to prove himself in the NFL and that's all that matters.

I agree they could have done more with him and to say he was the biggest bust in lsu history is stupid. To bad we have no creativity running offensive plays. An oppossing coach once said that the lsu coaching staff thinks play action is a trick play, I agree wth that statement!

He will get the opportunity to prove himself in a NFL training camp. I doubt he will ever see the field in a regular season NFL game.

Did I say that?

I said someone will give him a shot... If he's got the goods, he's gonna play.

If he doesn't, he won't.

Someone at the NFL level will make that determination.

He will get an opportunity.

I was always relieved when he never saw the field against the gators. Every season I'd think he'd blow past our defense if he played but he never saw time.

Posters need to let go of the myth that we didn't use him enough. In realty , Shep was a 5* at qb, not rb or wr. He is not really fast( was ran down numerous times by players that were far bigger than him). He isn't elusive( rarely juked defenders. He has BELOW avg hands at wr and he never put a lot of muscle on( got arm tackled numerous times).
The fact of the matter is, we had/have far better options at rb and wr.
I don't know how many times I've seen dumb arse rantards say ," Shep is like Percy Harvin, we should use him like that". This couldn't be further from the truth.
