Texas hasn’t won a CWS going on 2 decades now and hasn’t played for a title in 15. LSU won 2 and played for 3 during that time frame. It’s a blue blood job but LSU is THE job. Nobody leaving North Carolina/Uconn basketball to coach at UCLA, Kansas etc…. So no Jay won’t leave.

funny how times change, they were once a pretty badass baseball program, and up until the 80s people might ask “does LSU have a baseball program?”

Oh you don’t pull for LSU sports? You baseball fans are so soft. Can’t handle anyone disagreeing with you?

LSU Baseball has more fan support both in the stands and in TV ratings, as compared to Texass. More folks care about LSU Baseball than care about Texass Baseball. That is important to some coaches.

About as much chance as softball Gasso leaving Oklahoma.

What’s your source? Because the VIP beat rider for 247 Texas yesterday said if they were to fire Pierce, the guy at A&M would be their first call but he’d probably say no. He then listed two other guys
I read 3 pages of follow ups and not 1 time was Jays name mentioned.

"...reasonable ..." is the key word here. Ya gotta rember who we are talking about here and how much stupid money they have.
Texas' baseball program operates at a net loss. They aren't going to throw stupid money at a coach just for the hell of it. It doesn't make sense financially.

They might give him a fancy car and a house on lake Travis

Jay strikes me as the kind of guy that would drive Ford Pinto as long as it got him between his house and the ballpark.

I read if they make a move they want Schlossnagle.
Posted on 6/8/24 at 4:32 pm to manonwheels28
The main Texas beat writer said they would have to make Schloss say no because he’s still very close with the Texas AD, who was his AD at TCU
Most believe he will say no and the most realistic targets are the Virginia, Duke or UNC coach

Jay would do very well with Texas NIL

Call his bluff for a raise and show him the graphic that as many people watched LSU play a school few have heard of at noon on a work day as watched Texas play their biggest rival on a Saturday night
The worst is when Alleva let Les play him for a longer contract using R-Kansas. What an idiot.

One was in the big12….

Ehhhh they might leave for Kansas lol
Posted on 6/8/24 at 5:34 pm to Flightnclouds
Lmao. LSU has better baseball nil than Texas. Also the facilities aren’t even remotely close (lsu by a wide fricking margin).

Jay should leave because our fans are pussies. He deserves better.

Then let’s be honest with ourselves. Having a conference season and title that is at most 1/2 as difficult as ours allows a lot better set up for post season.
