I had dinner with Coach Freeze a few months back with a group of 10 people and I specifically asked was he contacted by O about the vacant OC position. This was after O had already hired CSE.

Coach Freeze told me that he was contacted by someone within the LSU AD (not Alleva) about becoming the OC. (Well actually not Freeze, but Jimmy Sexton was contacted) Coach Freeze said that he told Jimmy that was probably a no-go because he didn’t think O would want him on staff. Freeze continued and said he didn’t believe O would want him because he may think he was looking over his shoulder and is thinks he may try to get his job.

I asked Coach Freeze didn’t O just do that to Les and Coach Freeze just smiled and said you need to ask Les that question.

if this is true it will be the biggest black eye O could get. Who in their right mind would ever come work here. Canada thrown under the bus after 1 season, E getting a hot seat after 5 games. Shows a complete lack of confidence or direction.
