I heard Hugh Freeze was see at the athletic dept last week! Don’t know if this is true but I’ve heard it from more than 1 person. It makes sense to me if the SEC office gave LSU the right to hire him. I know it wouldn’t be this year but maybe a chance next year. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Isn't he on Bama's staff as an analyst?

Nope. Was talked about as OC there (and at LSU) but the SEC wasn't having it. He's jobless as far as I know.

I'd be all for him as OC and think the SEC would probably allow it after a year of staying off the radar.

I’ll take that reject, he gave Saban fits for a few years.

You're right. Bama tried everything they could to get him on the staff, but the SEC wasn't having it.

quote:

Alabama was one of at least five SEC schools that had contact with Freeze about on-field jobs this offseason. Saban wanted to hire Freeze as a co-offensive coordinator and position coach, sources told AL.com.

However, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey encouraged Alabama not to hire a man as well known for the personal shortcomings that led to his Ole Miss resignation as he is for his success as a coach.

I highly doubt the SEC commissioner has changed his mind less than halfway through the season.

We can certainly hope though.

We’ll see! I don’t see SE being the OC next year. The timing would be perfect.

Yea, until LSU is on probation for 4 years because of recruiting violations from strippers..
