Which would happen at 99% of major college football programs.

Shep was NFL bound last year?

Ok.

Will he even get fricking drafted in April? People want him so desperately to be some Percy Harvin clone, but he is anything but.

RS tweet about writing a book
Bottom line is Shep was NFL bound last year and Miles begged him to come back and made promises to keep him at LSU which were all lies. Shep and others could take the entire program down if its a tell all

In 4 yrs if RS couldnt make an impact in college, wtf makes you think a NFL would PAY him to play there?
I don't pretend o be an NFL scout/coach/owner , but I dontbsee RS in the NFL.

How many of yall complaining about Shep not getting a chance to throw the ball actually ever saw him throw a college regulation size ball? I did, and I'm glad he never threw one in a game.

I heard he threw an excellent ball.

You take money from a man and his family and that man will come back and bite you when you least expect it. One call that's all as MoBart says

Chapter 1: Learning How To Catch
you people kill me with this shite! The last time I saw the kid play for LSU he caught an ordinary pass out the backfield and converted it into a Houdini like 55 yard TD. I think his pass catching is just fine, it's whatever went on behind closed doors that screwed this kid over.

Shep will be exactly where he would've been last year, on some NFL team's practice squad, if he's lucky.

I stil don't know how he wasn't used more. He was amazing in high school.

He played in a district with a bunch of unathletic white kids. These spread type high school QBs seem to becoming a dime a dozen these days.

Just wrong. I saw him throw in practice all spring. It wasn't pretty. I would compare is throwing to probably Andrew Hatch. He would have never done well at QB in the sec

Really based on that logic we should have found Helen Keller many years ago. I don't recall all these automatic top 10 teams we had in the past.

Shep seems to be a good dude.
But at the same time if he thinks he going to make an NFL squad, he's crazy. 3rd string SEC kids tackle him if all they do is touch his shoelaces.

You people that think otherwise are still just making your judgments by his rivals ranking.

I honestly think that I've never seen anyone go down so easily. Hed get broken in half in the NFL.

The people who are in this thread trying to say he would be any good are the people that are just saying it to bash coaching decisions.

We can have top 5 recruiting classes with Helen Keller as our coach

Yeah, that's bullcrap. Before Saban we weren't exactly bringing in top-5 classes. While we're at a different level now, all it takes is a few bad classes that aren't as competitive on the field before those top-5 classes you seem to think we're entitled to become the exception and not the norm.

The first month of his freshman year he was moved to WR. I'd say that would constitute being fricked over.

Shep by his own admission said "I felt like a middle Schooler throwing balls with Matt Flynn, I got see what an NFL arm looks like..I have a long way to go"
