He tipped his hand for no reason (Beloso isn’t going anywhere) and now the pitcher has it I. His mind to throw over. You are depending upon a 19 or so year old kid in a pressure situation to realize he shouldn’t grow over or that he has to step off to throw over if the first baseman has crashed. The manager put him in that position.
No one on Oregon’s team expected Beloso to be stealing. The pitcher knew exactly why the coach wanted him to pick at first when he called it. They were checking the batter and maybe even the runner at third (who may possibly break on the LHP’s leg lift). You keep commenting that Beloso wasn’t going anywhere like that even mattered to Oregon. Beloso was a non factor in the play except he gave Orgeron the chance to pick off at first which may initially look like a pitch to the batter or third base runner.

Please improve your reading comprehension.
EVERYONE knew Beloso wasn’t stealing. His stats told that story. As such , Oregon’s coach tipped his hand by using the throw over to sniff out whether LSU would bunt. It’s what I said from the fricking beginning. You can accomplish the same thing without giving up your defensive alignment by throwing a fastball out of the zone. Oregon’s coach tipped his defense with the move to first. He also now has his pitcher thinking about throwing to first.

Thankyou.
I expected his kind of response from my wife, but not from dudes on the rant

How are home and visitor decided in super regionals, coin toss? Or is the higher seed home the whole weekend?

For the supers, unless they've changed the rules lately, the higher seed will be the the home team for games 1 and 3, and the lower seed will be home for game 2.

These are your words earlier in this thread. So you seem to think the coach from Oregon was unaware that Beloso was not a steal threat.

He put his pitcher and first baseman in a horrible position. He did so with zero understanding that Beloso wasn’t going anywhere bc he didn’t scout or review the scouting report. Its called poor coaching

Well, yes I am bc PM’s decisions had nothing to do with winning the regional. Oregon’s manager allowing his pitchers to repeatedly throw fastballs in the zone to Dugas won the regional. Oregon’s manager asking his pitchers to throw over to first when the runner had not attempted a steal all year won the regional. Pulling Hilliard and Hellmers did not win the regional. We won despite those decisions.
CPM has justifiably earned his criticism for the shitty regular season, but you have to give him some credit for leading this team to 4 straight wins to win the regional.

Oh dam those questioning throwing to first and balking haven't a clue of baseball. CPM had squeeze play called throwing to first was smart it just backfired after multiple attempts. Lol Beloso didn't worry them.

If u think they were throwing to 1st because of Cade you should never post an opinion bout a coaching decision ever again.

with Labas throwing 123 pitches last Sat. I suspect he needs as much rest as possible himself

My expectations are zero, so what do I care
I just think Labas has earned this start. He has the best last outing. He is on a more normal schedule. And he threw an absolute gem in the regular season series Vs Tenn

It happened Monday night in Oregon.

You have Coleman, Hellmers, Edwards, Vietmeier and Fontenot. Thats a solid bullpen. And they all pitched well last weekend.
