Which means the logical choice, assuming they are confident with Moore at 3rd, would have been Yocom at 2nd, Katz at 1st, Moore at 3rd. Everyone would have been back in their "normal" position.

The reach was saying Ibarra at SS and Moore at 3B is an experiment.

It isn't a reach at all.

I don't feel like going back and reading the last few pages to catch up, but am I to understand the debate has now turned to what was wrong with the lineup during the SEC tournament last week which we WON???

Again more discussion. Should we make another thread about USL?

I understand what you are saying. But trust me, as a coach, in the 9th inning with a one-run lead, one move is better than three moves. And that one decision does not put Yocom ahead of Moore at 3B.

No, I pointed out Yocom would need to be on the roster in case Bregman was hurt because he would play short. Others think we would play Ibarra at short and Moore at 3rd. I then pointed out reasons why I don't think that would be the case.

Surely even you can see the humor in multiple pages of posts about how the coaches f*cked up last week in spite of us winning the tournament with one starter out the entire tournament and another starter out for the final two games.

Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are...

Its much better than crying about what a school in Lafayette calls themselves, imo.

As a coach in the 9th inning protecting a one run lead you want your best defensive team on the field under the given circumstances.

I said I could see the scenario play out if they get caught in a bind, need offense late, have to use pinch hitters, etc. But given how Mainieri has used those mentioned so far this year I think it is safe to say it wouldn't be the first option.

I thought you were basing your argument on one move, not the whole year?

From a quick review of those threads, you seem to be one of the main posters keeping those threads alive.

No, the original Yocom argument was not based on one inning of one game.

We ended up there as a result of the "experiment" comment.

I don't mind this stuff. At least it's actual discussion and we can defend our arguments without the BS.

From what I've gathered, it becomes an opinion on if you think we need the pitching for Omaha. If you do, you keep Newman and drop either Yocom, Barash, Edward, or Stevenson.

Yocom- won't happen. He's a senior.

Edward-ditto.

Stevenson-leave a starter off the roster?

Barash- ding, ding, ding!!!
