its not just his fricking team. its our team. he was hired to do the best job he can. he failed big fricking time. i finally jumped on his band wagon this year and he let all of us down. if that was a boxing match you would have sworn he took a dive. i didnt have a problem losing to bama. but that a-hole didnt even try at all to win. everybody that pays money, whether its cloths or tickets is invested in this team. those of us that have been behind lsu for decades will always support the tigers. if he wants to be that fricking arrogant he can haul is arse back north. i felt so bad for the players that had to endure that piece of shite game plan. the defence played their asses off. he may be the coach BUT THIS IS OUR TEAM!!!!!

whats gonna be the excuse for his next screw up? have a pepsi and chill. yeah we had a great year. one damn game set us back big time. you wont see it next year or maybe the year after but its coming. those future recruits saw the same thing the rest of america saw. that game calling was a disgrace. by my post count i rarely comment. been here awhile. i still wore my lsu hat at work and got laughed at. didnt care. i love lsu and always will. but damn this feels like a damn nightmare. i would never ever imagine after the year we had miles could screw up that bad. and make no mistake he screwed up.

Hooooly shite.

You can now add the name Randy Rosetta to others such as Jim Kleinpeter, Glenn Guilbeau, and Tom Fornelli, who have written articles like this.

Ball's in your court, Leslie.

Simply put, LSU got beat by a better team. We fans need to stop looking for conspiracy theories on why we lost. There was no great team divide or fight 3 hours before the game. Les Miles is not suddenly an idiot, he got us into the national championship game.

Perspective is a good thing. You should wake up this morning realizing how fortunate you are if this is the most aggravating thing in your life right now.

LSU lost because of Miles affinity for one player. He should have seen that JJ was going to get destroyed by Bama after his whopping 25 yards total against UGA. Instead he stayed with him the entire game and had 92 yards total in the national fricking championship. Sorry, Bama is not that superior to LSU. You will see that in 2012 when Mett throws all over them.

Leaders take control of bad situations. By not addressing these concerns, Les is showing a lack of leadership that is hurting the program.
Enough with this "he don't owe you" nonsense.

this

We choose to be a fan. If a person doesn't like the program anymore, go root for someone else. A lot of people seem to miss this part "He's already stated why he didn't play Lee." Just because it is not the answer some people wanted, does not mean it is not an answer.

Dead wrong. Would top notch players want to come play for LSU if the stadium had 64 people in the stands every game? Fans are a huge part of LSU, always have been, and hopefully always will. You guys are selling yourselves short. Les is a link in the chain, a damn important one, but just one.

I agree with the article. What Miles has done with Lee this year will be used against us when it comes to recruiting. Who knows this could be the reason our 5 star quarterback recruit may be going to nd. If he clears the air it can only help in future recruiting.

Man.......... I agree with birdman, while its still a very tender spot, it just needs to be let go... we will not ever hear what you want from CLM, I was sickened as anyone after the game... but its just time to let it go.. there is nothing positive gonna come out of continuing down this road, we just need to let it heal and move on. And, I have to be honest, if I was CLM.. I wouldnt say anything either.... I would just let it roll...

I've been pretty harsh on Rosetta for stirring the pot earlier in the year but that article was great & spot on. He also takes a well deserved shot at GG. my favorite part though:

quote:

Really don’t see the need for that because this is the same coach who guided the Tigers to arguably the best regular season in school history and perhaps in SEC history. Miles deserves credit for his role in that glorious success, no doubt. And he remains one of the nicer human beings I’ve ever dealt with in this profession at this level and that means something. It should to fans as well, regardless of the sting felt the last eight days. Miles is a good man who has built a sturdy platform for one of the best programs in the country and the Tigers will be a formidable contender for the national championship next season as well and are on solid ground to be good for years to come.

he either tells everyone what really happened and throws a player under the bus......or he sits back and takes all the heat himself.

its a lose-lose situation

Really? Who buys season tickets? Who buys LSU gear? It's the fans. If Miles loses the fans support revenue will start to decline.

The OP and Rosetta are spot on. Fans want an explanation because Miles' actions were so inexplicable. Miles has never hesitated to substitute for players who aren't being productive and he certainly has a history of pulling players who turn the ball over. In the biggest game of the year he refuses to pull the one player who is dropping snaps, throwing interceptions, pitching too early on the option and producing nothing in the passing game.

It gives the impression that JJ received special treatment. The rules that applied to every other player didn't apply to him.
