Choctaw, I see you have changed your tune from saying that Lee skipped 3 straight weeks of classes, and narrowed it down to 2 straight weeks.

he was depressed because his girlfriend dumped him. she may have been on the soccer team...not positive. thats what started the whole thing.

I've heard the gf thing too. She was on the soccer team, but graduated a couple years back.

Not sure how you define "throw[n] under the bus". I define it as calling out someone's failures as an excuse for why a team lost. I have never seen Miles do this. Miles is handling the situation exactly as he should. He's not eloquent but he shows good judgment in handling these situations. He is doing exactly what I would recommend in this situation - don't blame anyone, look forward, and focus on recruiting and next season.

Spot on post!

Some of yall are acting like some teenage kid who got dumped by his girlfriend. You want the girl to explain to you why she dumped you but, no matter what she says it won't be a satisfactory answer.

Miles already said he didn't play Lee because he felt Jefferson gave us a better option, because of his ability to make plays with his feet. Guess what.........................? He was probably wrong. But that doesn't mean he needs to re-open the discussion by having some kind of public "explanation". It's not going to do any good. It's not going to satisfy most who are angry.

Miles needs to do what he's doing right now. Identify mistakes made, attempt to correct those mistakes NEXT SEASON, and move on.

It's hard to believe most of yall on here are grown men!

So first it was his grades...

Now it is because his head was not right because his girlfriend dumped him...

Wow, you people will look for anything to avoid facing reality.

I can't blame you though. It is hard to accept that Miles would do what he did.

The arguments are over. No need for further arguments.

What is clear is that LSU is losing recruits and the fanbase is sharply divided.

Both issues manifested themselves in a major way after the NC game.

This is NOT going away anytime soon.

I fully agree with that piece. I f Miles would just be brutally honest and address issues of real concern to the fans, it would go a long way in healing this mess, and I for one will be glad to give him the lattitude for being human if he doesn't try and bullshite me and placate me.

I noticed a few times this season – and this is human nature and understandable – that he got a little cocky in some situations that were easily camouflaged by winning. In particular, I struggled with how he downplayed Lee’s nearly non-existent playing time the last five games

bingo, the problem didn't just abruptly arise in the championship game...it came to an ugly head

no he didn't

That post shows you aren't seeing things very clear. A large majority of people I know say he did. One a large TAF donaor that says Miles will answer those questions to the right people.

The LSU football team lost a game. It was an important, big game, but it was a game.

If you are a fan who buys tickets, those tickets give you the right to enter the stadium on game day and to watch the game live. You can yell, too, if you want to.

If you buy LSU merchandise, you have the right to use that merchandise in any legal manner that you choose.

If you contribute money to LSU or to the athletic department, that's philanthropic of you, unless of course you do it simply in the hopes that you might get better seats in tiger stadium. That might work, or it might not, but I guess the impact on LSU is the same either way.

If you are not the AD at LSU or on any other governing body which has a say in determining coaching hires or salaries, then you do not get to participate in these activities, and none of your ticket purchases or merchandise purchases are proxy for that.

When children throw fits in public places, they should be reprimanded.

Grow up.

What I would really like to know, is why something wasn't done to spark the team. For example, sometimes in basketball you put the defensive energy guy in just to try and spark the team. Create some turnovers, fire up the team etc. The real reason fans are so upset is that stubbornness contributed to not even trying anything different. People are not that upset about the loss. Alabama is a heck of a football team. For the JJ supporters out there, can you really argue that someone else deserved a shot. Heck, why not let Mettenberger chunk it deep. What could it hurt?

I, for one, and pissed and baffled as to how and why Miles thought Jefferson was the better QB and just flat out benching Lee for no reason other then throwing 2 picks in the Nov. 5th game while Jefferson has done far worse and his utter stubborness to keep playing him even though it's apparent to you, me, and everyone else that Lee is the better QB except for Miles.

That said, Miles doesn't owe anyone shite - except for Alleva.

The truth IS out but it is so unconscionable that Miles nut huggers cling to the idea that SOMETHING must've happened. Miles treatment of JL was so unexplinably stupid and so unexplainably cruel that even Miles nut huggers can't accept that it happened.

Hence, they come up with the COMPLETELY MADE UP ON THE INTERNET idea that "something" happened.
