Some recruits have favorite numbers and will only commit to a school that gives them their favorite number.
You flat out never ever retire numbers. You retire jerseys.

He coaches at our school, Ascension Christian. Good guy, good coach, can still sling the ball around.

Craig Loston is my favorite #6.

Great Tiger, but if you retire #6 you will need to retire another 50+ numbers

Really? How many Heismans did he win, how many SEC titles did he win, how many National Championships did he win? He was average, at best@ Stick to playing Minecraft in your parent's basement.

As others have said, love Rohan and he is a great player but he doesn’t meet the criteria to have his number retired.
In my mind, there are three players who do:
20 Billy Cannon
72 Glenn Dorsey
9 Joe Burrow
I believe that Dorsey’s awards were the equivalent for a defensive player winning the Heisman while the team won a national championship.

Why? Most never heard of him.

Was this the game Rohan mustered up a comeback, and LSU hit a fg that barely crossed for the win?

Do you even party like it’s 1969 bro? Booty kicked off the golden era single handily by beating bama in Tiger Stadium for the 1st time since the fall after Woodstock. On his way to 1st team All SEC honors. Which is a requirement for consideration apparently. Gonna be fun to see General win a natty and a Heisman in a few years as well. They’ll probably retire the 14 the day they unveil the General statue is my guess, Which looks like it will also be the day Saban is honored alongside the ‘03 champs’ 25th year anniversary.

I don't think anyone's number should be retired, including Burrow and Daniels. I like seeing numbers becoming legendary and other players having to live up to it.

Getting your number retired is a BIG deal. It should be reserved for true all-time greats, not just at LSU but national history.
Joe B might fall into that category.
