Herb Tyler is another great one.

All he did was win.
Nicest guy you ever want to meet.

That's great to hear. All Burrow has to do is execute.

Wins are more important than any passing record.... I would rather him not to set the record and end up winning the west as opposed to being 8-4 and him setting some passing record.....

There is literally no one who would rather see the opposite

The 2 aren’t mutually exclusive. Clearly LSU would have been better served by having a more effective passing game in the recent past. 03 and 07 had excellent passing attacks

Rohan was back on AFR today talking up the offense again and as mentioned in the OP, he was pretty fired up. Says he's seen these guys at practice and it looks like how you would want it to look just after a few practices.

I was kinda busy and didn't get to hear everything. I did hear Matt ask him to single out a receiver and Rohan said he couldn't because they all looked so good. He says you can see them starting to do some of the things Sullivan was teaching them last season and they are getting it now. That's really all the time that I had to listen, but there was definitely a distinct excitement in his voice that I didn't hear last season.

I told you what he said about the receivers last year. He was on Moscona when he said that then. I got shouted down here when I brought it up. One of the clowns even linked an advocate article that said the opposite of what Rohan was saying.

I keep coming back to this because it's a significant statement. It should tell people a lot about things from last season.

I’ve been screaming this since the day he signed. Burrow was a potential program changing player, and I honestly can’t wait to see him break out next year as a senior and in his second full season as a starter.

Now if only he’d have a J Reed step up (Jefferson could be the guy but watch out for Chase who is built very similarly ), and a Toefield and Davis wouldn’t hurt either

This reminds me, I posted this in a thread a few weeks ago:

quote:

I’ve had a top 5 players since the beginning of the Championship era list for a long time, but it’s getting too tough now, have to make a top 5 offense and defense:

Offense:
1. Josh Reed
2. Leonard Fournette
3. Jamarcus Russell
4. Jarvis Landry
5. Rohan Davey (Burrow on his heels )

Defense:
1. Tyrann Mathieu
2. Marcus Spears
3. Laron Landry
4. Devin White
5. Bradie James (Delpit comin atcha)

Jeaux will break the all-time LSU season passing record with games to spare. He was only 500 yards shy last year after showing up 3 months before the season began. The offense had 3 returning starters. This year they lost 3 starters.

I have no doubt that he can and I will cheer from the mountain if he does but I hope he doesn't and here is why. I want us to have a rock solid running game with Emery / Davis going for 1700 plus combined. It is also crucial that Brennan get some quality playing time to prepare him to take over in 2020. So let Joe get another 3,300 yards with Brennan adding 750 or so.

Thanks for the heads-up on this Rohan segment. He stressed that this is maybe the most talented WR room (top to bottom) he's seen. He's totally jacked about the '19 passing game - all phases - not just RPO.

Two things stand out to me..
1) Rohan has a bona fide depth of knowledge in the passing game - beyond elite level.
2) He's close to the program on and off the field. And has been at 2019 Spring practices. Ro is giving boots-on-the-ground analysis.

Obviously, I'm all-in on Big Joe. After hearing Ro, I'm all-in on the WR's.

Propaganda machine out in full force. We’ve seen this movie before. “Spring practice offense showing creativity and looking awesome”. Alabama game same year....goose egg. We still have the same unable to adjust in-game OC calling the plays.

Rohan had the mentality of a trench player at the QB position. Burrow may be the first QB we've had since who can claim the same. Mett was a warrior, too, but Burrow may be next-level in that toughness mindset.

Hope it doesn't get him killed. He still has a QB's body.

Please link me to these fans that would rather see an exciting passing game but DO NOT want the team to win.

Look, despite what the O sycophants would have you believe, we all want Burrow and the team to succeed but hyperbole like this is absurd. I mean you familiar with Michael Clayton, Dwayne Bowe, OBJ?

Of course you defense rankings are even worse Spears #2 over Dorsey, PP7, Lavalis

It’s just my favorite players, not like a ranking of who I think was “best” or whatever.

ETA: And are you insinuating I’m a CheeriO???
